Just 3 slots left, 1 if we assume Motorbase 4th entry and Dan Welch.
With Wood and the second IP Tech Cruze confirmed as entries, it's 31 now if one includes Stockton; without him it's 30, with the fourth Motorbase car and Dan Welch making up the 'maximum' 32 if, as predicted, they're confirmed.

Terrible news about Wood only running the Vectra again. Waste of time really as he'll wipe the floor in that class.

And Neate missing the first round? That's pretty embarrassing. After all the hype about such a professional outfit they were setting up, etc, etc, to then not even be ready is pretty bad.

Yes, it's a shame he's not in an NGTC car, as he's a very good driver deserving of better equipment. But I'm glad he's still in the series.

I don't think that's very fair. Don't forget, Neate only announced in January that the team was being set up, and the car has been built from scratch. It can still be a professional outfit even though the car won't be out for the first meeting.

Why decide so late? It's pretty clear Neate's chequebook is unlimited. Just doesn't add up to me. Its like Dave Pinkney, splashed his cash about but never took it seriously enough.

He's not receiving the final delivery of parts until next Thursday, so would be going into FP1 at Brands without any running, probably not even a shakedown. Makes sense when you look at it that way. Whether they dithered over ordering parts or the suppliers can't meet the demand, who knows.
    You lot still here?!

Well, getting a new car built goes beyond anything Pinkney ever did.

The new build Alfas were all him in 07. What I'm disliking about what seems to be happening is its oh so predictable. New cars not showing up and missing rounds... same old story. I'm bored of teams talking-the-talk about how professional and amazing they are going to be, and then not being at the first round.

Entry list now up on the official site.

BTCC :: Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship

Main points of note: Michael Caine confirmed in the third Motorbase NGTC Focus from Donington; as expected, Dan Welch confirmed in the Proton: Stockton has entered in the BTC Racing Cruze, to take part 'from Snetterton'; Ollie Jackson in the second Speedworks Toyota; and no second AmD entry.

I'm going to be very disappointed if it turns out that these later season entries have kept anyone off the grid who could have started the season.

Nice discussion , in according to me all drivers will get a decent amount of time in it Pre season. So i hope the new car will be competitive straight away.
