It appears General Motors has parted ways with Andretti and is entering Fi as Cadillac F1. All indications suggest that they are about of attain the approval of both the FIA and FOM for 2026. There may well be an 11th team in the paddock for the 2026 season. How great is that? Yeepee!!!

I personally think this sudden change of heart has to do with the DOJ getting involved. After Mario and Maffei had their dispute at Miami, suddenly things are changing and it looks like the door is open again. No shock that Maffei is "leaving" soon. As for the name, I think the rebranding was partially ties up in funding, but I've seen different spins reported. But in either case FOM doesn't require the name to reflect the GM or Caddilac branding, nor the majority ownership that I'm aware of.
It seems to me they are just repackaging the deal with the changes, and don't want to admit that Maffei brought Liberty under the attention of the DOJ and FBI.
Rossel, Gryazin, Munster (big IF), maybe some new Japanese driver since Toyota is aiming at long future here. And maybe some Italian if Lancia will produce some sort of success. But I think that it...
