Rules of Engagement at corners
McLaren had lost their right to appeal for the Norris penalty to be reverted. We all suspected that this would be the case. The mood at McLaren is one of experiencing a deep unfairness. If you have read this article https://medium.com/motor-racing/the-...e-0fac2f0fbab5 you would see why McLaren was destined to lose their challenge of the stewards decision.
It is clear that the rule is unfairly drafted. Mainly because it was drafted by stewards in 2021 who were mostly seen as being biased in favour of Redbull and Verstappen. The guideline admits that overtaking on the outside is difficult but nonetheless applies a stiffer requirement on the car on the outside. As a result, approves and facilitates the running off track of the car on the outside without consequences for the car on the inside.
I wonder what your view is on this, is the rules fine as it is or does it need to change to a fairer and more equal requirement between both cars attacking the corner?

Easy. When the front wheel of the overtaking car is even with or ahead of the rear wheel of the overtaken car the overtaken car must allow racing room. IE you can not force the overtaking car off course.

Hamilton vs Russell was a demonstration of how clean racing should be done. It was great to watch and it show what a great driver Russell is. The champ stall has the mojo to go toe to toe with anyone.

As a rally man, it's interesting to me that it's 10 sec for every offence. Under the WRC Sporting Regulations, if you jump the start of a stage the penalty is 10 seconds but if you do it again the penalty is 1 minute for the second offence and 3 minutes for a third offence. More than that and the Stewards can penalise you as much as they like.
Once the regulators have made their minds up over what actually costitutes wrong doing, should there be an increased penalty for subsequent offences by a driver in the same race?
I suspect that the suppliers are now concerned about spontaneous combustion from the battering the batteries get given their age and life they've had and that's why they won't allow a reset any more....
