He's had a couple of goes at WRC2 but the budget hasn't really been there or the car/team havent been quite good enough. This is why he ended up back in the BRC, with the right team and enough sponsorship for the season.
Toyota only have a customer programme, not a works team. MEM and Castrol plus his other sponsors would come up with a lot more money to get him into WRC2 and that's a big ask.

The promotor should not be bowing to the half-half-assed attempts from a fragment of Stellantis. All the noise is precisely what they want for building their profile.
