[ERC] JDS Machinery Rali Ceredigion 30.8-1.9.2024

Full route has been revealed with 183km & 14 Special Stages will take action in Ceredigion as well as Carmarthenshire and Powys counties as the rally takes place for the first time in the ERC, full info can be found here:

Fingers crossed it goes so well that we'll see it make it's debut in the WRC in a couple or so years' time.
Only you know your true potential.

On a side note, I have always thought that Polish is a difficult language, but... can you correctly pronounce the name of that stage?

They named the places by random hit in the keyboard about a thousand years before the keyboard was invented

    Try this:
    https://translate.google.com/?sl=cy&...h&op=translate
Click on the little loudspeaker icon on the Welsh side.

I'm English and don't speak Welsh, but as far as I know "cwm" is Welsh for valley & "Ystwyth" is the name of the river. That's after more than 50 years of going to rallies in Wales & watching Welsh language TV reports with English sub-titles!

I find Gaelic much harder - they have characters in their alphabet that I have no idea what sound they represent!

    W is pronounced U and Y is like I...

So its Cum - Ist -With.

The rally base town is Aberystwyth.. Aber means river so it's at the mouth of the River Ystwyth.

Its a very historic town with a lot of culture and a university...

Quote from the 2022 winner, Hayden Paddon:

“I’ve really loved this event. I can honestly say that it’s one of the best rallies of its kind anywhere in the world. The stages are awesome and the atmosphere has been great, especially for the two runs through the town on Saturday night.

This is actually my first ever outright asphalt rally win, so I’ll just have to keep coming back to do it again !”

Slightly confused by the order of stages on Saturday - surely they're not going to run the three 'normal' stages in a loop; one of them is way north of the others. Quite a big commute from Aberystwyth to those two new stages, might need to look for alternative accommodation (or get a tent out!).
