Yes, but if you crash Friday/Saturday and can't restart it's the same.

Actually, not even 1 DNF needed. If Tanak and/or Evans win rallies while Neuville opens the road, in a couple of rounds they're there.
Exactly. Everything is still open and nothing isn’t decided. Like you said if Tänak wouldn’t have hit the deer they maybe would have been on equal points after this rally or even Tänak ahead.

Remember that Ott was almost 40 points behind Thierry at one point and seems Evans has regained some of his speed now with the faster rallies

Rovanpera did a great job all round. A late call and no prep yet still having the balls to commit on the fast stuff and deservedly taking the win. Plus helping Toyota big time in the Manus.

Neuville has opened every rally this season, but they still aren't even close.

The new points system makes it harder to close a gap, because you have 3 opportunities to get point.

From other hand, gap between Tanak and Neuville would be bigger after first rallies, if Tanak couldn't minimalize damage with extra sunday points.

Yes, but in Latvia and Finland we can expect Tanak to be fast, maybe Evans as well, with Neuville struggling.
What I think is stupid is to have literally ALL gravel rallies of the season one after another before the final 2 asphalt rounds... in the past we've had Germany, sometimes Catalunya or Ypres to break the gravel streak...

Okey guys, let me summarize the championship and rally situation, I just have to do it when Im on a long trip home.

Some words about rally - Beautiful stages but some irresponsible fans probably cost us Rally Poland next year. It is a shame, but honestly, we need some tarmac event instead of 3 fast gravel rallies.

Kalle did a great job, Ott would've win without hitting a dear but it is like this, it is a part of the game. Otherwise he was incredible on Sunday.
Evans had to benefit from rivals struggling but he quite didn't again. He lost already a lot of points on Sunday by some small issues this year. And the speed wasn't terrible, but not the best.
Fourmaux again showed that he deserves the seat, happy for him.
Katsuta? I dont know what to say.
Sesks was just amazing, looking forward to his home rally.
And Neuville.. Could've be faster on Sunday but he nailed the Power Stage, honestly, his advantage in championship is mainly because of the last stage in the rally, he is just so fast when he tries. This can be crucial for the championship.

With Neuville's leading, Evans in the middle and Tanak in the back, it really looks like it should be really really close after Finland.

I wonder, if there will be big ruts in Latvia, it should've suit Thierry as we have seen in Poland's second passes.

    Exciting season.

Funfact: This year is really dry so far, lot worse for Thierry to open the road than for example Kalle (2022)

13 pts more than Neuville - Rovanpera shows how its possible to score and close a gap.

I find it hilarious that they list 14 above 15 and 4 above 6 points.

Yes there could be some logic dictated by overall results, but then Tanak should be last or second-last.
