The Peugeot is the best S2000 for the moment. Fiat is close but only few cars are really good and for some drivers only.
Does anyone knows what happened with the Corolla? New rummor about Fiesta S2000 as well - tests in Portugal at the moment I heard.
Who is testing in Portugal???? Corolla or Fiesta :confused:Quote:

The new Fiesta will be comercalized in final 2008/beginig 2009. With a new car, it's logical a Ford Fiesta S2000.
Nuno Barroso will drive a Polo S2000 in next rally, if he likes it, will buy it.
jose: I think that body change is not a real big problem for S2000 ;)
Jiha, fiesta would be great!!!
For sure it is still interesting, they still need to sell all the models still in stock... ;)
;) I agree.Quote:

Wonder when we will see the first S2000 in the Norwegian championchip.
Hopefully someone will take the chance, and be the first.
Are there any used ones on the market yet ?
If Paasonen competed with one, there would be a bunch already :p :Quote:

A.F.F.: Paasonen said that no WRC is boring to him, so that he's competing in rallycross. I think we'll see him on our Meeting of champions, or how to translate it :) in Sosnová in november.
Well, the feeling is quite mutual to be frank. WRC without Paasonen is more boring :) If you see him, say hi to him from his biggest fan and try to convince him back to rallying.Quote:

For the 2008 season of Madeira championship Peugeot-Sport is aiming a 207 S2000 for current leader Alexandre Camacho(who runs a 206 S1600) !!
No they got a S1600 last year, driven by Anders Kjćr. He also got to drive a 307WRC in Rally Norway.Quote:

But no S2000 so far as far as I know.

When I look at the entry list there is still Clio. But I don't know...
I was using word "maybe". Now it looks that Petak will start with Clio.Quote:

It is not a technical question. It's a commercial and marketing question. They have a Fiesta S2000 in Australia, with local rules, Montune engine.
To Ford, in Europe, i think they want the new car with a new bodyshell. They have now the prototipe of the new Fiesta. So they can prepare the new car with a long time to developement.
So the same case as Corolla...
Another customer in Spain for the S2000 in 2008 !!! :D

It seems that Perez will buy an 2007 unit from Peugeot Sport Espańa.Quote:

He he wins it he'll be national champion, but he also has to avoid breaking the car with Sanremo coming quickly after... :mark:
Rumor says, that TRT Hungary has ordered a second 207 from Peugeot Sport...

Go have a look on the "Tour de Corse entrylist" thread in the "WRC" section of the forum: there will be Tirabassi, Sola, Bertolotti(all driving a 207)and Chossat(driving the Automeca Sport Grande Punto)... ;)
But it's a pitty that more italian drivers(Basso, Rossetti, Scandola, Travaglia,...)don't come with their S2000s in Corsican WRC round :(
Any news on the Fabia S2000 ?
Will they make the 2008 IRC start ?
Sulland: Fabia becomes a bit misterious. We know almost nothing. But team boss told half a year a go that they will not homologate the car sooner than in August 2008.
Now I have the feeling in 2008 we won't have in Europe more than Fiat and Peugeot again in S2000 for full season and maybe sometimes Volkswagen,...a little bit like this year :(
Let's hope the MG will have good pace this year at the Valais with Alexandre Bengué in order the car could compete full 2008 season
Interesting !!! The portuguese Polo S2000 has Pirelli tyres !! It's the first time I see that car on that tyres make !! :)
Pics of the tests ;)

The Suzuki Rally boss has said in Autosport that instead of killing the WRC project, due to the new proposed rules that a WRC car has to be based on S2000/Gr N - they will probably start the process of building a S2000 rally car.
If they do that we are up to 6 cartypes to choose from !!
Look at this "perhaps future" livery !!! :p :

Anyone that knows anything on what the future of the Toyota S2000 ?
Higgins has stopped driving it in BRC, and that was the last I heard.
Anyone that knows more ?
I have the feeling in Europe the Toyota S2000 is definitively a fiasco
as far as i know they have the same problems as we had with the Polo. they still do not have the car in LHD due to steeringrack problems, and lot of small things still to solve.... we are happy to have all things sorted in the VW Polo S 2000 and thats why the car is starting to score good results... and in South Africa the Toyota is a good car on Gravel ( is Corolla and in LHD ).. and the Polo ran in Portugal on Pirelli due to the contact of the driver with Pirelli, but we are sure the car works better on the BF Goodrich.
Plus the corolla is an oooooold model. They should go on with the Auris, just hope they can work something out!
It is highly possible that Jaromír Tarabus will drive Punto S2000 from JM Engineering in 2008 season Czech International Championship. The driver said that there was 70% probability. He tested the car and he said he would like to try it before the end of season on Labská rally or Prague rallysprint show. This year he was driving Suzuki Ignis S1600 (once Swift) and was the main group A opponent to Josef Peták who will use Peugeot 207 S2000 from Racing Lions next year.
That's great news Mirek, I like his driving and also it would be good for the championship. :)
From my understanding, the first Auris is virtually completed here in SA ,the homologtion needs to be completed.
The south african works teams will run the Auris next season, the present works cars are already sold to privateers.
