The ERC is very much a Mid-South European championship, no rallies and very few teams from North Europe - Sad really, since the NEZ Rally series is not much to shout about !!
Except Henrik Lundgaard and Mikael Sundstrom (on the beginning of 90s) I dont remember any driver from North Europe which was interested in this championship...
And three days later situation is completely different - http://www.autosport.cz/clanek.php?cl=11460Quote:

Yes, it is official. Thats why I wrote the article...
The draft itinerary, the programme and the maps of the first round of 2011 ERC, Rally ELPA are published in the official website of the event: http://www.elparally.gr/EN/2011/
Latest news in the Elpa Rally website mentions that in the 28th of February it will be announced if finally the rally will count for ERC or if it will count only for Greek championship!

I do not want even to comment on that! Again the same things.....
What should be done to change that, would make sense to go from National scene, to ERC and then IRC/WRC, but that rarely happens today. Not sure what cred being an ERC champ has around Europe, does it get you any sponsors with that on the CV, somebody know ?Quote:
