Team Principal Throws Down The Gauntlet
POSF1, the beleaguered Formula1 outfit, has given Jensen Button an ultimatum: if you want to continue driving for us, finish on the podium.
"The forecast calls for rain. Last year Jensen won in Brazil in rainy conditions from 2nd on the grid. We expect no less from him if he wants to be retained." stated team manager Garry Gould.
"The prestige and respectability of POSF1 Will be restored; and to do that we need the World-Class Jensen, not the -I'll-finish-right-here-in-14th-thank-you-very-much-Jensen." Whether Button has responded internally to the team regarding this ultimatum is unclear. What is clear is that a massive result from Button and Perez would put the team one step above the bottom, which would be a feat in itself since the team has only been out of the top forty once this season. That result was due to its bonus and not anything the team had done to improve the car.
