INFORMATION ABOUT SS 12
retired (8 - Galatariotis Simos / Ioannou Antonis): excluded - car missing in final parc ferme
some news about Galatariotis retirement from cyprus site.Sounds strange.
News - bomb: Galatariotis excluded from Cyprus Rally overall ranking!

The bad news we just received: Simos Galatariotis unfortunately excluded from the race and the overall ranking of Cyprus Rally!
According to ERC regulations as well as Cyprus Rally shortly after the prizes were awarded, cars and teams had to return to the parc ferme in Larnaca. Unfortunately perhaps the enthusiasm or perhaps the tiredness of the team was forgotten and headed straight to the Nicosia service park. There he was told that he was excluded from the race under the rules! His name has already been removed from the official classification of the race, see here.
We look forward to more updates soon!

So Ingram moves up to 2nd place in Cyprus and more points !
Great way to ruin everything...
New standings:
Ingram 135
Habaj 116
Lukyanuk 107
I was out for the whole weekend not following the rallying at all and now I see what strange things happened. Let's hope Hungary and the title battle isn't decided from the green table...

If Ingram takes the title, it'll be historical. First time for a driver who have never even led a rally in a championship he's winning.
Ingram's very low budget really necessitated more careful driving, unlike Lukyanuk's flat-out win-or-crash approach.
This is paying off...

No one cares about careful driving. No future in WRC.
Ingram is nice to watch on stages, Dimitris.
Luky is nearly 40 years old. There is nothing to prove anymore.
i dont care if Luky or Ingram win championship/s.
as a spectator i want to see fast cars at rally roads.i want to see fights,i want to watch cars at limits.
Luky is one to watch, even if he ditched it here and there.
Ingram NOT.
Ingram cant make a championship worth to watch/spectate.
Luky can. Hope now is clear.

Lukyanuk says that everything is still possible in the championship:

Everything not. For example Paolo Nobre will not win the title.
He currently loses 133 points to the leader :D

Thanks Mirek! A very interesting article. I didn't know that those families have such a big influence on the whole country.
By the way, I have just read that Al Attiyah is considering a full European Rally Championship campaign in 2020. I guess he doesn't have budget problems ;)

Why didnīt Lyku get any points?
Bonus points after day1?
His worst result is 3p so he got less than that from Cyprus?
I agree with you on arguments in the whole (Ingram vs. Luky). But in this quoted one you are wrong. Itīs not same for everyone. For sure if you donīt worry about money you can drive with other focus.
Or turn it around. Worries about funding makes every rally could be last if you crash...
Ingram has shown speed very close to Lukyanuk on a few occaisions when he has been able to push. But at most stage ends he say he's on a 'safe strategy' needing to protect the car and also think of the championship (Junior or Overall).
No-one denies that Lukyanuk is fast, but he also risks a lot too. He could end up with just one Title out of a possible five due to this approach.
regretfully we do not have budget for further steps. and if you want to drive at least something, what can you do :)
according to your logic Hirvonen should not ever try ;)
correct.
crowd funding doesn't help a lot. with the average event about 45k to get 9 from the crowdfunding will help you to close some minor budget gap, but it cannot help you constantly
you have to put the car to the PF to get points. and as they will be rejected next round we decided not to go to Larnaca.
we are also limited on budget. more often we have no idea if we would have enough for the next event. but we are lucky that our sponsors prefer to have spectacular drive instead of points
nothing is as boring as safe approach. especially now, when we have one title already.
also, even safe approach doesn't guarantee you a thing. look at Azores or Cyprus. or Italy, when we've lost 8 points due to unknown complication. (BTW this time they measured about 5mm less than actual, still within limits)
when we were on safe approach probably ;)
It was Ģ11k raised and money is now coming in for Rally Hungary.

'Everyone who has supported our chance to be the first Brits in 50 years to win the FIA European Rally Championship will be entered into a prize competition draw to win a ride. Everyone will have their name featured on the car for the final round. Let's make history together !'
I guess they have had quite a lot of publicity from his driving this year... ;)

Ufffff
Jeeeez you guys, it was a joke hence the ';)'- like when Lehus said Ingram was only close to Lukyanuk when he was on a 'safe approach'.
If I wanted I could've shown far worse from other years: https://www.google.com/search?q=luky...w=1600&bih=757
