I don't think the entrylist is complete yet(they don't wear their real number)
Also I thought Norbert Maior would run the Hungarian Peugeot Cup this season
Mads Östberg had a team presentation this week ;)

nice tight fight,Gryazin slightly faster,Kopecky retired from differential while 4th and 15,8 sec from leader.
Battle between Peugeot and Ford in Rally 4 class ;)
btw ss 3 had an average of 135,1km/h.Lets see at 2nd and 3rd pass if it will get higher

Extremely bad results of the new Ford Fiesta Rally3 cars. One is 26th and the other one 28th overall.
138 km/h at ss 6 for Gryazin ,now leading Mads with 11,2 sec
https://www.ewrc-results.com/results...2021/?s=321359
Gryazin took 10sec penalty from a chicane.
He is going 2 stages to finish with 0,6 sec behind Mads.
Mads won previous stage ss 7
Gryazin lost 15,1 sec to Mads at ss 8. What happened? spin, puncture?
WTF? Mads lost 1,53 min at last stage!
https://www.ewrc-results.com/results...2021/?s=321362
edit puncture for Mads.
It seems a deserved win for Gryazin, because he won most of the stages - 5 out of 9.
Ostberg drops from 1st to 5th after a puncture on the last stage.
Have a look at the dramatic action of rescuing that Fiesta from the ditch :)

Modern cars just aren't right. With that many people you could pick up carry a Mk1 Escort with big steel wheel arches out of a ditch like that. Those wheel arches made great carry handles!
Gryazin is impressing this year. Maybe having a fast car he doesn’t have to push too much is helping.
Róbert Bútor has just unveiled his newly bought C3 WRC. It is the ex-Saintéloc Pirelli test car, chassis #20. He sold his Fabia R5, then got his 306 Maxi part exchanged for the C3. He also mentioned that it is completely rebuilt, as there was a customer for Saintéloc for this season to drive the car in the WRC, but due to Covid the money wasn't enough, and the programme was scrapped.
He said that he plans on driving the car for a few more years before complete retirement. He will do 2-3 rallies in a year, this season he plans on doing Pécs, Veszprém and Mikulás, with public and previously announced test before all of the rallies.
Edit: he also got a very extensive spares package, with 120 rims, 5 sets of body panels, Ogier's and Lappi's setups, etc. :D He also mentioned that Ogier's ex-engineer is helping them in the beginnings, and also told them that all the aero upgrade parts and documentation was scrapped when Ogier decided to leave.

It will be very difficult (and expensive) to keep this car running...
Yes, he said that obiously before buying, they discussed this topic as well. The amount of SS km he does is relatively small (he did about 2600km with the Fabia R5 in 3-4 years, including testing). The car is totally refurbished, the engine has 1000km, that has to be refurbished at 4000km. He also added that Citroën Hungary and TRT will be able to help him with these (as the engine, transmission etc. can only be refurbished at Citroën Racing).
Good news...it's better to see this Citroën running, rather than ending in a museum ;)
I don't quite understand why Řstberg and Kopecky can't keep up on this rally. Arguably I have little idea about Hungarian drivers, but on previous rally Řstberg was faster than them and last year on Hungary ERC they were getting beaten by a lot of other drivers.
Don't know how it is now but in the past Eger stages used to be mostly super fast wide roads (slippery with dirt) with gazillion of chicanes and several very rough and slow narrow forest sections, i.e. very specific. Now it may be wet as well (tomorrow for sure).
Catastrophic last loop for the drivers of Ford Fiesta Rally 4 and Mitsubishi Lancer :s
Now the leading Peugeot cup drivers are 14th and 15th overall after leg one(Nemet and Hangodi)
SS6 was full wet for all and raining, SS5 maybe dryish for first drivers (no vid). On SS6 Touran either had wrong tires or they just didn't work cause he was visibly slower than others and sliding around.
Turan again faster at morning stage.Kopecky and Ostberg much slower.

Τuran crashed at ss 9.
Hadik now leading Kopecky with 5 sec.

Day 2 of Eger-Ózd Rally didn't start the way we wanted Pensive face Suffering from technical problems, it can't be fixed at the moment. We're loosing a lot of time. Trying to get trough #badluck
Kopecky with a mega time at last stage won for 2 sec Hadik

Kopecky supposedly picked more dry tires for the last loop, to risk it. Given his position before with good margin behind it's totally understandable.

Disappointed with another difficult weekend in Hungary. We suffered from an engine issue from start to finish, getting worse, ending the rally without any power left. I’m not happy. We can't continue to have these problems! Now we focus on Portugal. We have a new engine for that
And again, great performances by the Peugeot cup drivers :bounce:
