And will Grifone let the Fiat Grande Punto S2000 down then ??
I think Corrado Fontana is running on a Grande Punto from that team in ERC...

So it will be a great battle between him and Baumschlager. :)Quote:

I also heard that rumour (Corolla S2000-Grifone) yesterday, and it seems logic to me. Grifone has really close connections with Toyota. I also heard a driver name for next year but it is too early to say anything about it!
MG S2000 to make its debut on RI :)

I'll try to find the name or the rally... :mark:
EDIT: it was on the Plains Rally in Wales last 22nd september :D
Actually we can fand and predict a lot of debuts of new MG:
First run: Plains rally (GB)
First run on tarmac: Rally du Valais (CH)
First run in WRC: Rally Ireland (IRL)
.
.
.
:D
It won't start at the Valais at all unfortuneately :mark:
"Where have you found that rumour? I have heard about it in June, but from that time there is silence around..."
In the last week-end, at the Sardignia Rally.
Sorry I meant to say its WRC debut :)
I knew about its outing on the plains rally and its subsequent retirement..
MSD have some pics on their site..http://www.msd-world.com/
So... no Peták's S2000 debut in Labská rally because this rally was definitely cancelled. After many organisation problems during the season it seemed that it would take place in November instead of May but now it is all over. It's pitty because it's stages were one of the most beautiful in our country :(
Sent an e-mail to Britek Motorsport in Australia for some info on the future of their Fiesta S2000 project.
They are saying that they will have a meeting with FIA in November to talk 2008 Homologation.
Due to the number of cars they have to make, Britek wrote that they are aiming for full FIA Homologation by second half of 08.
Price details: One car is US$250,000 – ready to run.
A full spares package $US120,000 which includes:
Engine
Gearbox and transmission – including prop shaft and drive shafts
2 complete sets of panels – including doors and bumpers
1 complete set of suspension – including uprights
16 rims (Braid)
Full complement of consumable spares
I have not compared this to Pug, VW or Fiat prices, so I do not know how they compare, but the US Dollar is cheap these days...
Andrej Jereb will start on Waldviertel Rallye with Peugeot 207 S2000.
confirmation that toyota SA are seeking full FIA homologation for the Auris

I heard that Kris Rosenberger will not start on Waldviertel due to broken ribbs from Ostarrici crash. Baumschlager probably too because his car is destroyed.
Why not renting an S2000 for Baumschlager then ??? ;)
Pascal Enjolras will drive a 207 S2000 from the MES(his father's team)on next week's Criterium des Cévennes(penultimate round of the french tarmac rallies championship) !!! :bounce: :bounce:
He clearly won't be able to fight with the three usual whales of the championship, but why not a big fight with the main actors of the Michelin trophy(driving 306 Maxis and Toyota Celica GTs) :D ;)
When I've got the entrylist of the Cévennes rally(should be tomorrow)I create a thread for the event ;)
According to http://www.rallyes.net Carlos Sainz could drive a Polo S2000 at the Rallye Shalymar in Spain :D
A little late, but here's a picture of the Dutch debut of a Super 2000 car in the Nederland Rally a few weeks ago:
http://www.klaashuvenaars.com/ShowIm...s2000Weijs.jpg
It's the Rene Georges Polo, driven by Hans Weijs (senior) and one week later driven by Andreas Waldherr in Austria’s Ostarrichi Rallye.
rallyes.net always says a lot of things...Quote:

I unfortunately did not get a chance to take any pics of the car, but it is very good looking and a good build quality.
The car had a problem on day 1 and only completed 3 stages, however was sorted out and finished day 2 . I think this is very good considering the extreme rain and mud experienced on the event.
Jan Habig and Douglas Judd in an S2000 works Polo won the South African championships. Going into the last round, 4 teams all in S2000's had a chance of winning.
If only there were also 207s and Grande Puntos on south african championship... :mark:
Carlos should run fabia WRC of Czech Rally Team Kopecký originally...Quote:

He decided to drive a Peugeot 207 S2000 on the last non-championship run in Hungary, he said it seems to be a better deal. He won't change his Clio S1600 for a S2000 car, it's just a one-off.Quote:

Eyvind: Probably yes.
Does someone has pics of the first dutch 207 S2000(owned by Dennis Kuipers who should run the last event of 2007 dutch championship this week-end)
