He hated jumps, I seem to remember. And he also hated mud, that's why he took part in RAC rally very few times.

Will it or will the problem be that the drivers are bored that they are flat out everywhere and want another 100 hp to make it interesting?
It may be that event organisers will need to find slower and more technical stages to separate everyone.

Thanks, not my best but it is what it is, can't be everywhere. Probably not, bit hard to say until we will know how the future looks like

I didnt follow the WRC2 closely here. What were the Rally2 car drivers comments about the rally stages, excited or not ?

E. I read Korhonen say of one stage: "Tricky stage, but I like it. These narrow parts are quite nice with these cars."

So yes maybe they need this for Finland 2027,more narrow and technical roads.

A final thought after Rally Finland.

Was it the turning point of the Season where things clearly moved in the favour of Elfyn Evans, given 3 big pieces of good fortune.

1. He missed the heavy rain on Friday which badly affected others
2. He escaped a roll and the ditch on Saturday, directly before service
3. Ogier crashed out of the lead and the Title battle.

This season is unpredictable so I wouldn't count out Ogier, Pajari, Solberg and even Katsuta and with slight chance for Fourmaux and Neuville. Manus is practically decided after Paraquay, which is very unlikely that Toyota will do it so badly to give Hyundai most possible score.

Don't forget he is Welsh and so would prefer to see somebody else win. And Scotty being English doesn't help, he would be the first English coey champion in a world where English is the global reserve language and using words is half his trade.

As they like to cock it up at the final hurdle, I'll believe it when I see it!

With saudi most likely not happening, there are only 3 rallies and 105 points left.
Pajari, Solberg and Katsuta might still have a chance if Evans fucks up twice, but is seems unlikely. Ogier and anyone below him are finished.

But you never know, Evans might break an arm driving a mountain bike and miss the last rallies.

All of these are possibilities but my point was that this Rally Finland has given Evans more fortune than I've ever seen him have in one rally.

IF he does become Champion I'm sure this will be the event that was the biggest turn towards him doing so.

Yes I counted that also, but he also did it for the last 5 runner up championships, and also pretty much lead last year the whole season and then completely lost it at the end.

Ingrassia described the accident to L'Équipe. "I saw Seb getting out of the car and realised that I wasn't injured. So I followed the procedure. I pressed the car's OK button, which indicated that we did not require emergency assistance and that the stage could continue. But by the time I had done that, I noticed that Seb was lying on the grass, unconscious," the Frenchman said.

"From that moment on, the accident took on a completely different dimension. I immediately activated the emergency signal and went over to Seb. His eyes weren't blinking — there was no response to either sound or sight. With the help of two or three spectators, we kept his head still while I waved my pace notes in his direction. It was a worrying moment."

"I had never experienced anything like this in my life, but I knew I had to remain calm," Ingrassia continued. "After raising the alarm, I called the team to provide a medical assessment. I also switched the car off because there was a risk that it could catch fire. Gradually, while the people around us were talking, Seb regained consciousness. Then the rescue team arrived.

One of the most tricky corners on RBR stage Sirkkamäki. Have gone off soo many times at the spot. But Lappi should know.
I also where there in 2010 and there were a couple of offs, but not from top drivers.

So it seems the social media reports of him lying on the ground and sweating were accurate. In fact it was worse, in that he was actually unconscious for a while.
