WRC Calendar 2027

NOOO BUT THE SAUDI KING MADE A BIG INVESTMENT IN WRC

can motorsport survive nowadays without all the money washing from middle east, crypto and bets? im starting to have my doubts

He seems to have been build his power base well considering the last "elections". Let's enjoy several decades of him at the helm

I think he is more about power and his ego being filled, than money. He was richer than most in the WRC anyway before. Also he knows that absolutely everyone hates him, so he probably is just that evil that he simply annoy everyone, because he can and out of revenge.

I certainly agree, and now also seeing the news regarding the ACO & the FIA...this guy is something else...hopefully and I don't know how, someone there (a lot of people) will grow a backbone and take away his seat. Every year he's there he ruins more and more good bits of all the disciplines in motorsports. Back to the subject, now with this being confirmed (cancellation), I wouldn't be surprised if we don't get any bit of news regarding next year until the middle of November.

our excellency mister king sir OH almighty MBS wants more money from ACO or they will kick them out as the promoter?? i havent read but i bet its this. then they lose le mans, right?
....ah, found the news. its for 2028...eeeeeeh. weird.

it got me thinking..... did redbull was required to pay more for the next years and thats why they wanted to leave??? we kinda agree we need a more enthusiastic promoter but now im having my doubts about redbull simply wanting to quit their contract...... cuz i stand by my theory about boulier being there as a puppet for some scheme. he was 100% lost in those talks (both in paraguay and the french interview), i dont imagine eric decided to just privatequitying wrc out of nothing

I was wondering, since we have Rome next year, that means we'll gave 4 tarmac rallies apart from Monte-Carlo, isn't that too much in the eyes of the promoter & the FIA? Isn't there a risk they'd want to get rid of one of them?

What is this odds thing? Like how is Finland 99%? They signed 10 year deal in August last year so shouldn't it be 100%? Saudi also had a 10 year deal?

It's just for fun while the wait continues. And as this year has proved with Saudi, a 10-year deal doesnt guarantee a rally... ;)

Believe me, if someting similar would happen to any other rally on calendar, it would be immediately cancelled or replaced without hesitation, but it's a Saudi. It's simply become the most important rally on calendar and have 'by their believes' greater status than Monte, Sweden or Portugal.

Can any sport? Football is full of oil money, F1 too, esport is on its way to be completely controlled by Saudis in next two years.

It's sad situation, but it's just a reality. . .

So Estonia, Scotland and USA in, chile and Portugal out, it seems... and another delay coming because of that?
