its funny cuz you cant say that on social media cuz the RX DEFENDERS come in rescue to argue online with you. The PR guy, the social media guy, that Qngan guy - amazing photographer, by the way.
"Why you have to be so negative? FIA is trying things to make the sport growth, we should be happy bla bla bla...."
its always the same thing.

- battle of tech? "oh, you gotta be positive, its great for the sport!"
- EVs? "oh but its the future, if you dont support this, the sport dies! lets be optimistic! its going to be awesome!"
- f1 tracks instead of traditional tracks? "Oh, but to grow the sport we gotta grow the sport! I dont know how you fans can be against such incredible idea!
- races outside europe (hong kong!!????); "theres potential international audience, you gotta be there. You got to support the sport!
- paywalls: "you gotta support the sport you love, even if that makes the races go from 70k views to 900 on rallytv"
- using RX2e cars to finish the season after the RX1e cars burned down?- "Oh its going to be great. similar cars, the guys are going to have to fight for the win."

NOTHING makes sense haha its impressive. the way these guys try to P.R. the sh1t out of all the bad decisions FIA take is always impressive.

...and dont make me start on the whole new american series haha it failed what? 5 times? "no but this time is going to be great! and the fans loved the new electric giant spec car their are racing".... yeah, sure.... SURE

at least they got it right by bringing euroRX back

what an INCREDIBLE first day of RX back to where it should have never left, eh? Oh wow.
Its been what? 5 or 6 years since RX was this decent?
I mean... euroRX never lost its magic but they barely got any recognition these last years, even with bakkerud, odonovan winning titles!
 
I just heard Marcus Gronholm on the SPIN podcast.

He said going to Euro RX has been a shame because it costs as much but doesnt have the cachet of being a World Championship. This has meant it's much harder to get sponsorship.

He couldnt start a new team and car from zero, so there's no place for Niclas after the end of HE Dealer Team.

This issue was already a problem last year for Hansen Motorsport. It really shows how tough it is when even the most famous name in RX cant afford to get a team together...
 
Maybe it's because the sport is rebuilding itself again and it will take some time before sponsors come. WRX died and ERX take all burden on it's shoulders to carry on. I think it will get better, at least I take comfort in this, that they have huge numbers of entries.

Good entry numbers are nice for fans to watch, but arent everything. You need them to be competitive and have at least some to give the KMS team a run for their money.
 
That was also always problem in World RX. I honestly found that that this sport was fun to watch, but kinda was tired of Kristofferson constantly dominating everything. Even if he having bad weekend, he kinda won at the end. I don't have anything against him, he is clearly the GOAT, but how on earth are everyone so bad that no one could mix things up. Similar with Loeb and later Ogier in WRC.
 
rd 1 was not sooooo easy for Johan, but once they fix the start (and they had)... its gone
but it was 10/10 for me. great racing everywhere
 
Great job by Patrick O'Donovan and his team today. They fixed 3 corners of his car after a Q4 crash, then him taking 2nd in the QF splitting the KMS guys!
 
Rallycross is returning to North America this weekend with first round of RallyX Americas at Candron.

The series will use spec OMSE's FC1 electric SUV-like "Hypercars" and FC2 ICE "Supercars".

FC1 entries includes Timmy Hansen, Lia Block (current ARA leader btw), Brad DeBerti, two-time Nitrocross Champion Robin Larsson or Kevin and Oliver Erikssons

That being said, RallyX website is one of the worst I've ever seen and their marketing sucks ass.
 
rallyx in america was cancelled yesterday because of the rain.
races will be tried today if climate helps. races will be on their yt page
 
ehhhh johan DSQ from q2 after some incident on turn 1 at holjes. theres always chaos on that first corner but i have honest never seeing a black flag being given.
he got a push from joni on the first corner, then casper closed the door on him on the second corner, nothing he could do, he break but he bumps casper that bumps and spin bakkerud.
im 100% team bakku in RX but that was 100000000000000% a regular rx incident. weird.....

I wasnt surprised he was DQd as he cost two other drivers their Q2 points while taking a high score himself. Harsh maybe but he can handle it with the times he's been setting at Holjes.
 
a black flag, the worst rain possible, THREE Seti cars banging on his door at every possible start...
you CANT STOP johan!! hahah impressive. how i missed RX, ooooh boy
