Why the change?
The forums software and server has been in place for around 12 years. The server was completely outdated and vulnerable to attack -- and it was being attacked hence the forums running slowly. The forums cannot be directly ported with the same software as it would not work on a new operating system, so we need new software too. It looks a little different but new XenForo has a lot of nice features and works better than the old vBulletin.

The place may be a mess for a while so bear with me, but if you see any issues post here or contact me directly.

Mobile access
The new forums have a very good and responsive moble version which activates automatically and even has dark mode. This means that Tapatalk going forward is not supported. I appreciate some are using it but it's a security nightmare best left behind.

Nice update. Looks good with white background on mobile.
Only thing I found that when clicking on some thread, it opens on the first page, not last.. but maybe you are aware of that.

Yes seems to the major difference with vBulletin but the way the read markers are done means you need to have read the thread in this forum before it can track your place. As I understand it.

I just discovered you can highlight precisely the text you want to reply to and click reply, rather than manually cutting it down. Having a go at shoelaces next.
