Project Rally 1 said they will start testing now in august, but we saw that rocket from RMC already a while ago, so it kinda make them both viable to being there... somewhere during 2027, IF.
Of course there is possibility some well known face could say goodbye. Elfyn maybe?

Evans is going nowhere and certainly not retiring after his comments about competing at Rally Scotland 2027.
Ogier much more likely to retire after the crash... and still not tested the new Toyota prototype.
Toyota Cup might not be that bad.
If we have 5/6 TGR cars, plus a couple of MSI, plus potentially others later on then we get a reasonable field of well matched cars.
Sure it would be great if there were other competitive entrants, but you could do a lot worse than a bunch of Toyotas to get things going
I really wonder what's going to happen with driver slots at Toyota and perhaps Toyota 2.
Right now Toyota is Evans/Solberg/Ogier, with Katsuta as #4 not for manu points, or #3 when Ogier is missing. Pajari is on his second year in the "no prressure" second team, which I'm pretty sure was a 2 year deal.
What are they going to do next year, if things carry on like they are? Pajari has justified a place in TGR1. Ogier is not a full timer; he's very good but maybe not quite so good every year. Solberg has had ups and downs, and one would expect him to improve with experience.
It's like they've got 4.5 drivers competing for 3 manufacturer slots in TGR1. Something has to give.
I bet the plan could change a couple of times as the year goes on.
It's a lovely problem for a team manager to have, but it is an interesting problem.
I presume the drivers have worked this out too...

What about best drivers in WRC2? Will anyone of them be in a Rally1 next year?
Virves - Most likely will get WRC2 title. Probably will remain with Skoda.
Suninen - Has shown good results in WRC2 and ERC, probably will get ERC title. Where he might continue?
Korhonen - Printsport rally2?
Rossel brothers - Lancia?

There is 7 spots available for WRC27 car (if everything go according to plan)
-Toyota 1x (probably Tanak taking it, especially after last comment from Fowler)
-MSI 2x
-Project Rally 1 2x
-RMC 2x
Additional (at least) 2 from M-Sport kit car
If we assume 2 of those will be handed to Neuville and Fourmaux, then there is also Sesks, Armstrong "and McErlean", and "part timers" for consideration (Lappi, Paddon, Sordo)
Then you have a total of 4 seats realistically available + 2 as I say from M-Sport (total of 6). I think 1 or 2 from WRC2 field could end up in main category, but I think that both tuners would want at least one guy who can have enough experience.

Well, since Ott, Kalle, Seb, Elfyn and Tierry had already said something along the lines "The new cars on Rally2 levels of power are not fun", then stay home, fellas. Just stay home. It would SUCK to have to watch these guys complaining in every stage-end interview.

Depends if they have the money for a full WRC1 season or even only some rounds.
That is actually a good point. I absolutely despise the stage end / general negativity of most of the current drivers. Let guys drive that have fun driving...
