Promoter news and rumours

I’m aware but again I’m asking, IF IT IS an ARENA stage, do you think it’ll make up EVEN 10kms? and like it was said before me, if Sunday is so short, why would I bother? if everything’s decided by Saturday night…
panzerplatte was way more than 10km and it's the perfect arena concept. it's just about what they want from it.
for sure is not so straightforward to have it at every rally, but some work by the organizer should find the right place.

I think it was said before, but what a dick move it is to disable the commentes on the video:

Didn't like the comments "Mr. Excellency"?

Off to a great start, it has to be said again

Edit: Lol, not even 15k views and barely over 100 likes

i have a new theory and im going with it, lads... let me explain to you
what if mbs/fia bought themselves the wrc promoter because no one wanted the thing (for obvious reasons) and then they got boulier and cosmobilis to 'act like you bought it so it wouldnt look bad for wrc"?
that would explain why boulier look weird and completely lost in the recent interviews. just a pupet! a mbs/fia hostage!

"Blink twice if you are held hostage by the FIA" 😆

It's possible, but I'm more keen to fact that Cosmobilis actually bought it through Park Square money. But MBS/FIA being MBS/FIA trasfered this munching on them, so don't expect big things any time soon. They got time, remember 25 years, before they can sell it again.

Who knows which financial shenanigans happen here. Venture capital doing their thing, loans that can now be taken. Somewhere someone is profiting financially and that is all there is to it. Everything around it is marketing BS. We have seen the conference, they have nothing to say, nothing to show. Since all those month seeking the deal was not about the future of the WRC, it was about money (and influence).
I know I repeat myself, but the only thing you can expect are some superficial changes and new faces

100% unrelated but SARGA, a promoter from indonesia, is going to be the rallycross world cup promoter.
they also entered kevin hansen in last weekend's round in france as a sponsor and they are bringing both seb loeb and kevin hansen for that world cup race. looks like they may also be interessed in buying the rx promotion from fia, who took over last year over the wrc promoter.
they mostly run horse races..... ?

AutoHebdo made an interview with new promoter. It's in french and I turn on subtitles and translatio to english.

Basically they talk about everything that was mentioned on press conference, except there is no that clown besides. They go more in detail, so I recommend this to all of you.

Key points:
-their vision
-what changes could be made
-there is few manufacturers interested
-various things will be revealed through time
-2027 and 2028 is transitional seasons
-sundays and arena will become more like festivals
-growth can be done well when there will be enough teams (so from 2029 onwards)
-they will not change dna
-events will be short or long, as long as each have their own story to tell

Again, worth listening as there is so many things they talk about. It's 100% better than that press conference.

-its clear they want sundays to be more like a regular event, a place where you go with the family and mates, watch and thats it. like a sunday f1 race or so. they even mention its going to be easier for you to bring you children and not have to walk miles to next stage (something like that)
-they also said they are not changing erc THANK GOD BUDDHA ALLAH ZEUS SHIVA
-service park is going to be renamed? i didnt catched that, they want to make it an arena center for the event as a whole... they can make some $ by selling the naming rights for these events (im guessing)
-haha now nobody believe the future is 'electric', eh?
-they look at each other when talking about next season, its almost like they are being careful with what they say hehe

The more I see the moves for the next years, the more I see the path of WEC.

I believe their vision would work, even though will be hard to watch in 27-28. Sponsor-oriented events will have an advantage in the future as I think they'll find a formula in order for them to be more immersive.

Ironically one of the most iconic "rally" moments online at least is the McRae roll and continue in the X Games final. Getting strong X Games vibes from some of the words that are appearing just now so wouldnt be surprised to see that type of last day with a stadium "finale".

Don't think so, because of Park Square. Before investing money, they do a huge due diligence.

They're a private equity firm, they know what they're doing. Purchase low, cash high.

Look at what's happening in football. Biggest European teams are valued 4-5 billions. Compared to UK or Spain, Italy is behind (no stadiums, low quality TV products, etc.). Those private equities are buying out teams in Italy for 3-400 millions (many at even lower prices) and after few years they're already valued 1 billion.

WRC in 2021, with the last financial results publicly available, had around 26 millions. When fixed, WRC will be an asset that can easily be valued 100 millions per season. Which is a fraction of F1 (around 4 billions per year in revenues), but still enough to have a huge return of investment in the long run.

remember when RALLIES VHS (yt channel) said they had to stop posting or something like that?
did redbull had something to do with that? i remember some hopes of having that type of content in the rallyTV, that was a new thing at that time (some years back). maybe new promoter can just let that guy continue to post old stuff.......

I believe Dirtfish owner Steve Rimmer bought the Duke Video archive, which owns a lot of the rights that VHS Rallies was posting the content. Not sure if there was a warning or threat or vhsr just stopped out of respect.

I smell some "cease-and-desist" letters from Legal teams to these youtubers...

(CaD letters are more or less like: I'm not bringing you to the court to pay me the TV rights, but stop here and nothing more will happen).

Aren't they brand in automotive industry. They have some aplications or software in that industry, rental company and sells cars theough various shops? If I understand correctly. So I think they are quite involved or have some relations with brands. But I don't know if only in France, Europe or global. I never heard of them or anyone involved.

They've got to get cars to star in this WRC they bought, so behind the question is how easily they can field cars. That's more interesting to me than arenas and concerts. The feature production must be first and foremost, consuming the show and the support acts are secondary. If I want good music or food I go to the music hall or restaurant...

Agree.

What are now is that they are playing The waiting game. Just like it was before they bought rights. But eventually promoter settle as they couldn't wait forever.

Promoter waiting manufacturers/teams to sign, manufacturers/teams are waiting promoter to boost the championship.

And how could both sides get out of this cursed situation?
