they all seem really worried. i hope we can just relax and enjoy it. i always say that its so fun to follow erc, because you just sit back and relax. check ewrc, fan footage on youtube, highlights, some live stages when you have time, you chat here with some fellas.... its so fun.
i wish this was the vibes for next year. rallycross went back to be just a sport, wec is just a sport again. they lost that 'way too corporate soul' and that made everything so much better. i want wrc to go that route

They should be, the way everything has been managed for the last decade or so….making late (or stupid or both) decisions will eventually drive out even the most hardcore rally fans, us included.

Rather, at 21:51 Eric talks about a stage that facilitates the access for fans and get them closer to action.

How long can an arena stage be? do you think it’ll occupy 10kms or more?…beside, that’s what rallyfish said regarding the length and since they got their info about having an arena stage run twice, I doubt they’re wrong about the length…

The questions would be useless anyways since they weren’t willing to give an answer or anything…even something as simple as what’s the final round they don’t have an answer, and even if they do it’s a secret like Harry Potter & the Chamber of Secrets….jesus f**k…and that’s before I mention the fact they didn’t have follow-up questions (because for that you need actual answers).
One more thing, everyone wanting to know if they’re on the calendar, they seemed so stressed about it.

Well, I checked the Rally Sweden itinerary and SS18 Umea says 10.08km. Fair enough for a TV-oriented Power Stage, isn't it?

I’m aware but again I’m asking, IF IT IS an ARENA stage, do you think it’ll make up EVEN 10kms? and like it was said before me, if Sunday is so short, why would I bother? if everything’s decided by Saturday night…

This questions about random events, well I expect more from those who raise hands. It looks like they don't give a shit or doesn't even know what's going on except their own country hosting an event. It surely looks like that those journalists are some random people who barely even know rallying.

They should've been getting the questions, what will you do to stop drivers retiring from sport? What countries should WRC visit in future (explicit means asia, america and those who have big automotive markets to boost sport there), what value should WRC have to justify teams and sponosrs investing in it, what TV fans will get, and what personal fans will get, what is a timeline to expect something to implement... Those are questions for 1st press conference when such a big news/move was made and not some random events being on calendar next year.

Man, we're looping again and again on the same thing. It's not rocket science. Don't focus on the term arena. It's not gonna be an arena stage as it is (like a stadium SSS).

There will be an arena WITHIN the final stage, where people can have services and festival atmosphere. It doesn't automatically mean it's gonna be a 2km mickey mouse stage. The final Red Barn arena it's an arena, BUT within a 10km stage. Which IMHO is fair enough, 'cause it gives sponsors exposure, space for hospitalities, etc., while keeping it a proper stage to enjoy.

Off Topic: Regarding the results, but here it's FIA JOB (and this is NOT the appropriate topic to discuss it), an idea could be scrap Super Sunday points and keep the Power Stage one.

WHY NOT? its free market. its fans going crazy happy and thankfull over that brand or that team... it makes no sense to hide stuff. it makes it look like its just gazoo saying "dont worry, we will make 20 cars and put all that $ in our pockets. we are focusing on building and selling parts from now on" (which is also fine, but tell usssss)

I made this mistake as a journo when I did a question to Kubica during a press conference. Autosport took my question and his answer and pull out an article out of my question. Bye bye exclusive insight. I never made this mistake anymore.

Took them a whole year (ruined) to fix that, how long do you think will it take them to change that or remember they need a summer Tarmac event to break the chain of 7 consecutive gravel events?

To be honest the current promoter / fia was extremely resistent to change. The stupid points thing took the collective outrage of all rally fans to correct and the hybrids only stopped because the manus said "no more"
