McLaren announces new lineup.

There was an interesting article in the Racer Daily Bulletin the other day by their contributor Marshall Pruett covering the implications of this signing.

A multi-year deal for driver who will be 46,5 years old at the start of his tenure with McLaren? I can understand it from Dixon's perspective that he wants to drive for a team founded by a fellow Kiwi, but it looks a bit desperate from the team's side. Also, Dixon's record at the Indy 500 -compared to his overall achievments in IndyCar - is not that great; having won just once in 24 starts (his various Ganassi team mates have won a combined four races during that time).
And while Rosenqvist has won the Indy 500, I think Lundgaard is the overall stronger and more consistent driver and more likely to win a championship.

I think several of the owners don't care nearly as much about winning the championship as they do about winning Indy.
