Italian Rally News

I don't know what are the weather conditions there, but a bit surprising to see Avbelj leading, ahead of drivers that usually beat him in Italy like Albertini, Andolfi and Campedelli.

I also don't know what happened to Mikkelsen, but from what I could see he never ahead...
 
Very mixed conditions all of full rain, damp and dry stages.

Clio Williams got 2nd time on SS6 likely by driving on a drying road.

Mikkelsen lost 15s with puncture on SS5.
 
Next year, Lancia creates a new cup in CIRA with the Ypsilon Rally4 HF as cars :cool:

Apparently Ucci is the first customer who bought one for his team ;)
 
Nice victory in 2WDs for Jonas Müller at the Rally dei Nuraghi e Vermentino(italian gravel championship) !!! :cool:

The German has his first class victory in Italy, in front of Fabio Farina and Nicolo Marchioro ;)

Since end of 2023, Toyota Italia seems to want him as their driver, but he's feeling well enough in his current team :)

Toyota's current driver Giandomenico Basso is a very good driver too, but I'm convinced "Cru" is even better :cool:
 
Hey interesting!!! Winner of the Arctic Lapland Rally, Tuuka Kauppinen could enter the new Trofeo Lancia in the italian championship !! :eek:
 
First event of the CIRT(gravel championship)this weekend, the Rally Città di Foligno :cool:

Then in two weeks, first round of the CIAR(italian overall championship)the Rally Il Ciocco ;)
