Kind of surprise-Luca Rossetti, this year champion in Italy has signed for next season with Abarth Team. He will drive together with Umberto Scandola in Italy (CIR), Basso will represent Abarth in IRC !!
It will be interesting to see, where will end Andrea Navarra (maybe Ralliart Evo10 or even Corsa S2000)??
And what is the future in case of Andreucci (rumours about Fabia S2000), Travaglia, Gamba, Cantamessa...???

What I'd like to know is who will drive the Racing Lions 207 S2000 in CIR in 2009

This saturday in Bologna, Peugeot-Sport Italia will communicate about the Trofeo 207 RC...maybe they will also tell the name of the new driver

Yes, that's a total surprise about Rossetti after all the successes he had with Peugeot. Either FIAT has offered him a very good deal or Peugeot is withdrawing from CIR? I can't see any other option...

Anyway, good luck to him!

According to rumours read on Rallylink Forum Davide Medici could be the Peugeot factory driver on CIR09

Looks like today is official !!!! Ucci as Peugeot Italy factory driver(Racing Lions)in 2009 !!!! :D :D :D

Fantastic if true 100%

Abarth is going to be really sorry :D ........the new CIR champion,my favourite Ucci!!!!!!!
It could only be better if he were in an Impreza S2000 (dreaming :) ),then it would be perfect!!!!!!!!!!

Question though...ERG and Pirelli won't continue with Ucci, or Peugeot Italy will replace Total and BFGoodrich next year

One more information, Peugeot-Sport Italy will return to the Pirelli tires next year(for the S2000 as for the 207 RC Rally trophy) ;)

Source the Rallylink forum(from a future participant of the trofeo 207 rally)

The news in Quattroruote was updated: Ucci's official commitment to Peugeot for 2009 should be next week, it's not yet :mark:

Today has been published Mitsubishi Ralliart Italia press release announcing end of work with the crew Paolo Andreucci/Anna Andreussi ;)

I guess it's a matter of hours now that Peugeot-Sport Italia publishes its press release announcing the coming of the crew :bounce:

Endeed Ralliart Italy published today no Ucci anymore!! Thank's god!! Ucci as a TOP Italian (personaly I count him between 10 best world's drivers) deservs a winning car, unfortunalty Evo9 or X is yust a shadow against Pug or Abarth...
So, waiting for official press release from Racing-Lions....
