Finland is fast gravel, Sardegna is slower, technical gravel, and Sordo won twice there.
Yes, Paddon drove on asphalt. But unless he drives on times up there with Fourmaux and Neuville in Paraguay, there's no reason to choose him over Sordo in Sardegna. Apart from sentimentality reasons of liking Paddon more than Sordo. Certainly not because Paddon has been faster than Sordo in 2026, so far.

Fair is fair, which is why I also said, let's see how he fairs in Paraguay which again, is his first gravel event since Australia back in November 2018...

I remember them saying something different in 2025, does anyone take them seriously anymore?
 
All I say is millions well spend ... I do wonder what a competent team (M-Sport for example with then better drivers) would have achieved with the money Hyundai spends for the WRC

Breen, Loeb, Formaux also did very well. Still think that the car was good for top 3 in many events. With a little more money (or lot's of Hyundai money) they could have competed with Toyota
 
That tent tells a different story, although development of a car for the last two seasons could indicate that they have even less budget than M-Sport

no, i just think is useless to do random analysis based on a guess on that forum! : )

then if u want to do a deeper research, probably an "educated guess" will place the last couple of seasons budget closer to m-sport than toyota.

Exactly the same thing all over again. Theycre constantly evaluating where they stand as a team.

I guess they want to see if their Rally2 is competitive at all and based on that decide if they want to continue. But what does that help them if the car will be eligible to compete only for 2 years in main category.

i think we are too into the sport thing here.
I suspect what they really wait for is a plan from the promoter, to see if the series will become more profitable ( in terms of roi )
 
Do you really believe that then they will decide? Until the end of season they will always have another excuse, why they don't want to decide it, or by their words, we are not there yet 🙈

maybe, but surely the reason is not assessing if their rally2 car is competitive.
