Without that rotating system, two of those three would never get a shot. At the end is it matter? As it's clear they are out of sport for good, and I think this time for real with all those clues (WEC programme, not building WRC27 car, not interested in Rally2 kit, not interested in factory program of regular Rally2 either, Tanak leaving prematurely, again calling FIA they will leave if hybrid/electric PU isn't implemented, Neuville clueless of his future, Fourmaux accepting he will probably seat in Rally2 car, Lappi convinced it was his last rally in Rally1 car, team not releasing any statement regarding new promoter, constantly ''evaluating'' their participation, blaming everyone/everything else, WRC27 is not their vision of promote, losing all interest, being slow in development, making really weird and stupid decisions, lack of motivation...).

Honestly I would rather see them stay, but having that kind of negative team is hurting the sport. Of course in their prime they did challenge Citroen, VW, M-Sport and especially Toyota and gave them really good battles, but recently their whining, lack of everything and their unlogical demands gave me chills, that they should leave for good.

Maybe they could invest in Project Rally One, they are looking for investement and Hyundai could do that and focus their staff on WEC (just a thinking).

I'm glad that Paddon get a shot again, after so many years promoting the brand ''for free''. He deserved that and also he made a closure on fatal accident he was involved in, that probably destroy his career in WRC.

It could surely work. Let them all drive all rallies, but retire them if they need to to get a good starting spot for the next rally. Having drivers do just one rally every now and then never gives them enough seat time to get comfortable.

But its seems Hyundai has somehow never had the money to run more cars, or they have never been run by a smart person.

The money is there but Cyril is the one who didn't want to put a 4th car on stages. He was talking about that for many years as they were considering but never realized that. And then... 2 out of 3 hit the troubles and 1 remaining driver should save the world? Of course it wouldn't matter at the end, as manufacturer championship allow 3 drivers to be nominated to score points and two best placed count. But Toyota do take them places every single time, with their crowded leaderboard, even if some of them hit the troubles, they are always there.

We could say that they are not serious team recently (or maybe the whole time they are back in championship). Only 4 titles (2x manufacturer, 1x driver, 1x co-driver) in 12 years they are competing until now with massive budget.
