Can Ferrari become a legitimate title threat?

It looks like SPA will bring a energy challenge to the race.

40% Rain on Friday, 20% on Saturday, 10% on Sunday.
 
Verstappen made the perfect start to the weekend by topping FP1 ahead of the two Ferraris. Ferrari looked competitive, and I expect Mercedes to be right in the mix during FP2. McLaren, though, didn't seem to have pace to put up a real fight for the podium. If you are at Spa this weekend, this Belgian Grand Prix fan guide is worth checking out. It has some useful suggestions for things to see and do around the circuit between sessions.
 
There was a interesting observation after qualifying by the talking heads. The difference between Antonnelli and Russell is that Antonnelli is better able to integrate both driving and re-charging the batteries at the same time.
 
For a season that many claimed was going to be crap due to the new regs, Belgium was another fantastic race in my opinion. This was another power limited track, but the quality of racing was still high. The only thing that might have made it better would be some mixed conditions.

Ups and downs all though the field, and I feel like there are at least 4 teams that can win races on a normal weekend even if there aren't any freaky interventions due to weather, strange qually results, major wrecks and VSC/SC, etc.
 
I agree completely , shifter .
Perhaps the Hungaroring being one car-width wider could have helped .

That deserves it's own thread, so I'll make this brief. All the teams (except perhaps Williams) are starting to get it figured out. There have also been several rules adjustments that have helped too, so it's not as bad as the doomers see it. It's only going to get better, and it's not all that awful now anyway.

I believe they could solve a multitude of issues simply by reducing the battery deployment rate, but that deserves it's own thread too.
