I was mentioning it in previous messages. Antibes was for long time in ERC - until 2011, when they were forced to decide if they should continue in ERC or have french championship...
 
Just for curiosity, last 16 ERC events had 16 different winners. First, who has two wins is Jan Kopecky (and in 2023 he was in general beaten by Pech with WRC)...

i know we are really biased here but seeing these stats (16 dif winners in 16 rounds!!) makes me wonder HOW ON EARTH wrc fans dont want R5s at the top class lol

i know... i know... "ahh the cars.. ah its a global championship.. ahh manufacturers..."
i know.. im just... THIS is what rallying is all about - at least for me. not a "corporate championship" for "2 guys in toyota and 2 in hyundai".

this could be a point if all this driver would be in all entry listy ( or doing the entire championship).
in reality is so different cause there's no top tier driver competing constantly, and lots of local drivers doing just home rallies.

And if you go back to the start of 2023, even the double ERC Champion Hayden Paddon only won 1 rally each year. Theres no driver or car domination.

ERC is great for competitors and fans alike. It lets many drivers win rallies and get glory for their supporters, while others show their consistency and the win overall Title.

true! but for me thats not something important. theres always some few full timers in erc and the fights against the locals is my favorite part.

Very interesting! What I like abot ERC is that you can almost never predict the winner. If some bookmaker company had offered bets for ERC and someone had predicted Brynildsen's win in Sweden or Korhonen's win in Hungary, they would have been very rich ;)
