Shame about the compulsory tyre change.....it's taken the element of strategy out of the series!!!! How about for the last two Rds we go back to optional pits....

Still have work to do here. Feel like I am walking on eggshells-far from comfortable with the car.

And I'm not asking for HoF submissions, JShell. Just your best qualifying time from Free Race Qualifying mode using storm conditions

I was in time trial... might be a smidge slower in free race... we'll see.

Could you get storm settings in TT mode?

If so we can qualify normally using the storm weather setting in TT mode.

gonna run a TVR for practice only but will run the ultima to compare lap times, for maybe next round I'll move up to Cat. 1

If that is the case feel free to qualify in TT mode and submit to codies.

Good run in the Ultima, Harvick

Sorry, I'll again need more time for this round. I hope that this is the last time that I needs extension.

No worries..

By the way guys, I need your input. Should this championship:

1) Have the planned nine races (2 more after this one)

2) One more race with double points awarded

3) one more race with single points awarded

I'm sensing a lack of enthusiasm in the series (it's me as well).

If we do choose to have one final run it will be an extended distance run at Spa.

Two races: Zandvoort then Spa..

I hate donington, so I'm not een gonna bother running the race, I can't get a 10 lap sequence if my life depended on it

johnny shell
17th February 2008, 21:22
i vote zandoorft then spa

there's not much else going on anyway. plus there's not much pressure in these cars. I can't catch the leaders & you other american aren't doing so good at catching me

had the flu this week. two flus really. the germ kind and the pregnant wife kind. gonna see what I can do for 10 laps round here though. hope to run conservative but have fun & make it iun just a couple attempts.

a loss of entheuiasm? how could we not be entheuastic about running around a rainy track in the middle of february tannat? :D

I think this series has been a lot of fun, and laid back too. a nice way to spend the winter months!

Cheers JS

Looks as if the V* testing threads are receiving more action than this one, and while mathematically a lot could still happen in this series, I think after this round things will be close to set in stone

Although anything could happen................

Narrow pole for PiotrB outqualifying Peter Vuko by just over a tenth of a second. Robzee rounds out the top three in another TVR.

Good effort by Harvick putting the fox amongst the chickens with a good showing in the Ultima

1. PiotrB.......TVR.....49.72
2. Vuko Snr...TVR....49.85
3. Robzee......TVR....50.80
4. J Shell......C5R.... 52.36
5. Harvick.....Ultima..53.44
6. Tannat.....C5R.....53.47

And a narrow victory by PiotrB finishing ahead of Peter Vuko by nearly 2 seconds. Robzee takes third a further 10 seconds in arrears.

Battle of the vettes was won by JShell finishing nearly 7 seconds ahead of Tannat. The Ultima of Harvick didn't make the grid for this round.

1. PiotrB............TVR.........CT1..9m.05.00s...... 49.40s
2. Vuko Snr........TVR.........CT1..9m.06.98s..... 50.33s
3. BobZee..........TVR.........CT1..9m.16.96s......51 .75s
4. J.Shell...........Corvette...CT1..9m.39.77s......5 3.26s
5.Tannat...........Corvette...CT1..9m.46.72s...... 54.63s

PiotrB can clinch the title at the next round if RobZee finishes less than first place (by virtue of number of wins and number of poles).
