Last year at the Petit LeMans, someone hung out a banner that said, "BMW R U CHICKEN? Considering the announcement that the M3 will be returning to the ALMS, BMW definitely R NOT chicken.

Isn't it nice that there is one series that isn't worring about their future and has actually made great strides over the last few years. This will be a great year for alms. May go to detroit as well as midohio.

Yes indeed, and it's the '08-'09 model M3, with the V8 engine. Rahal is running it, which substantiated BMW's exhibition at the SEMA show in Vegas with Bobby's son at the wheel of their F1 car.
Looks like both them and Schnitzer will be running the cars the next two seasons, Schnitzer in LMS and Rahal in ALMS, but Rahal will get first crack with the new car, meaning that all the setup, testing, and race data will come from Rahal.

I didn't know you were allowed to post links to porn sites here! :p
Least it's a true production car this time so Porsche can't get it banned again ;)

Would love to see the M3 race against the Audis and Mercs again. The current DTM cars sucks though.

DTM is a bit contrived, it does produce close racing at times however.
Two manufactures however give the fan base little choice to cheer for and they should work really hard to try and draw BMW back into the fold.
Sorry off topic...
