Jean-Marie Cuoq, the French privateer driver who finished Rallye Monte Carlo in the top ten placings in 2007 and 2008, has had his competition licence suspended, and has been stripped of his 2007 national asphalt championship title.

Recent final decision but old news for people following the case. JM knew where it would eventually end before he started MC.

More a bureaucracy issue than illegal recce.

As for his pace in MC, he's as suspicious as the Finns on NORF or as anyone rallying on his home soil. :s tare:

Elsewhere cheaters have been caught out before they got the title...

In all fairness, illegal practice has been a problem everywhere in the past, some countries just have acted swifter upon it than others.

It is a shame they waited so long. One would think with the advantage of being local a driver would not need to take more passes than allowed to win. That is the part I don't understand.
