Why did Toyota go with a 4 bolt nub on their Celica Rally Cars? And what was the PCD of that 4 bolt hub?
Many many thanks.

Im thinking that its the same reason Subaru use a 4 bolt hub on their WRCars - one less bolt to undo which saves time.

I'm thinking this is possibly a question for Solitt :)

It's not some thing that we ever really dealt with.
We had noticed the irony that whilst the factory team ran Celicas with 4 studs we ran Corollas with 5 studs.
If I was pushed for an answer I'd imagine it had to do with their arrangement with their wheel supplier. That would also explain them going to 114 PCD ... if that's true..

Take a look at McRaes championship winning Subaru, which was a lot closer to the time when the Celica's were rallying than a 2006/2007 WRC car, its got 5.
Also I've been told that the four stud PCD was 98mm
