I am not that impressed with the new layout. The split-times has not been working all weekend, but might be down to teething problems...

Since that feed has been cut to all external sites, no splits this time. BAD !!

They can learn a lot of the layout from the two Czech sites, that have way better results service, with comments and more info regarding car, class, nationality and so on.

Bottom line in my opinion the 2008 version need to learn and improve a lot !

Videos are good and more of them. Problems when it first lunched, but its new what do you expect! Few new downloads of new version of media software sorted sound and vision problems.
The sites been kept up to date with news all weekend, and promises of more content and live stages over the course of the year.
Splits are not that good, but when have they been?!
Most annoying thing for me is the video starting on most pages, and a few problems with mac compatibility - but a few emails back and forth a very nice guy at northone soon fixed that!

Just give them time, it´s the same as Suzuki, they improve after each rally.

Goto Rallies on the orange bar at the top
Select the Rally you want - Rallye Automile Monte Carlo would be good around about now! :)
Select the Split times

But http://zone.ee/wrcmasters/2008/analyzer.php?rally=1&stage=16&results=1&jwrc= works better! ;)

I find the fact that you (apparently) can't just go to a page that shows you the current overall standings very infuriating. Instead, you have to know which stage was the last to be completed, which isn't indicated, and then look there. It should be easier for those of us who don't have the slightest interest in individual stage split times to just take a quick look at the overall position.

I'm glad this one's still around! (the new) wrc.com is apparantly a problem on my computer. Even to the point that I get Internet Explorer fault reports :\

Try http://www.subaru-msm.com/global/wrc2008/result.html - have the overall and stage standings updated every few seconds.

split time problems seem the same on every site I go to
- must be a problem at WRC. the results service must get better though.
hoping they read this - we want a Results button at the top please!!!!!

It's great that they have videos... now if only I would have images instead of just the sound, it would be perfect. :dozey:

Is anyone else having the same problem with the videos?

Audio and still images? Choppy feed etc... pissing me off!

I did until I changed windows media settings. I turned the speed up to near the highest setting and change the buffer from 5 seconds to 20 and haven't had a single problem since.

Yes I did it too. Maximum speed and 30s buffer. No problem since!

I did it thanks.

Mostly it was OK, but sometimes it gets stuck again/buffering etc especially when viewing long films.

if you try to watch the 4+ minutes suzuki film it again has problems.

sorry not a computer expert...

I think WRC.com has gotten a lot better with Rally Sweden.
The videos are definately on a high bandwidth connection now as I can check any time of day and not have it buffer like made. Even the live superspecial was fine yesterday.

Also they have made the splits easier to see and access and the live ones work well.

All in all, I think they have got things right now. I look forward to see what they can do going forward.

Yep completely agree. They seems to have been listening to people opions and constatly improving the site.
The web master should be on World Rally Radio at some point over the weekend for questions etc!

It would be nice to able to watch those videos in wrc.com. The WMVA codec(which is crap) is available only for windows.
All the cars in this world aren't fords, neither all computers aren't "windows".
The year is not 1984 ,there is reasons for standards, wrc.com should follow specs too. microsoft is not a standard.

I don't see any wrc stuff on tv anymore(idiotic digiTV) ,so the only coverage im getting is through torrents.
It's annoying for me to ask people to download streams from wrc.com and convert them to open formats and share through torrent sites just because
the videos are stored "monopoly" formats.
