I'm surprised no-one else has started this thread so I will :)

What does everyone think of the new Williams?

I think it looks interesting especially at the front with a very swoopy front wing and what looks like some intricate aero bits.

How does everyone think they will do this year?

I wish the race livery looked that good :p :

With McLaren dropping their bridge wing I'm wondering if they will be used by other teams such as Williams when it comes to the Australian Grand Prix.

Can't believe no one has a thing to say...

Nico put it on the gravel, but at least the FW30 still has the best livery out there. Hülkenberg was also outpaced (1.5 seconds) by Alonso in the R28. I just wish the weather is nice and clear so the FW can get more time and clean runs at Valencia.

Is that a Zero Keel? (http://www.formula1.com/news/headlines/2008/1/7283.html)

Running a single dark color with only white letter would make williams looked like NZ A1 team. Looking forward to having more combination color of image will be painted on the side of the car instead of the thankful utterance.

Looks OK to me and is it me or does the sidepod wings look similar to Mclaren's. I hope they keep the simple livery. :)

I don't think that mclaren is dropping the bridge wing, they didn't launch the car with it, but it has been present at every test session

they had a good test day today with rosberg 3rd. I hope this is the return of Williams and hopefully they will kick the sh!t out of BMW

I suspect wings will come and go during testing and at various races this year just like last year.

You must be mistaken. It looks like they're using some of the old overalls from the BMW & HP era.

By covering up the old HP logo, Frank is looking to put more development into the chassis than buying new racing suits. ;)

On that pic they look like student being punished because didn't wash their suit cleanly.

they are the same race suits they used last year, just a little bit stained in nico's case. Clearly they are going to change their livery for this season because if they where going to use the same livery as last year then they would still be using it in testing. So obviously the 2008 race suits are designed to match the 2008 livery and they are probably just not ready to reveal the new designs just yet

I loke the dark blue look, It's different from the standard fair and matches the singular intesity of the Ferrari's liverly.

Alas, it probably won't be what we see come Australia.

Those suits are brand new. With Puma gone, all the old gear is defunct. Sparco is supplying all race gear and team wear and McGregor will be kitting up the factory staff. Even though the suits are new, there will be revised suits come the season opener.

It seems (by testing lap times) that they could be there along Renault and BMW. Not a bad start!!!!

The second and third best times in testing at Jerez (http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/65118)suggests Williams could be strong this year :s mokin:

I remember last year (or nmaybe the year before) they rana really cool interim livery that was dark blue with proper numbers on the sidepods like an old fashioned Williams. Looked superb but by the start of the season it was half white and had sponsors all over the place.
