like the title says, this is a place to post a pic &/or specs of your guitar or any other musical instrument that you play..

Had this idea after I saw Jon Brown post his guitar pic in the best buy thread.
Since I think there are a fair bit of people who play something or the other..

For those with guitars/bass also mention the rest of your gear!

This is my violin - bought for my by my father when I was six. I took this photo about five minutes ago, and included my hand as a size comparison - it's a three-quarter size, which means it was perfect for me when I was six but it's pathetically small now.

i am a bit of a talent with a saxophone though and the piano. plus im pretty good at drumkits...

Saxophonist are usually disciplinarian, they can't smoke while playing saxophone ;)

I met a saxophonist on the train, he said that blown instrument is more difficult as it requires our breath kept fit.

I play classic Yamaha, if I want distortion sounds like electric guitar I simply connect it to the effector.

I just sat at a drum kit a few days ago...and I can imagine how tough the hand-foot co-ordination is! I am not that good at guitar (atleast not as good as pino :erm: ) but I am self-taught (or in the process at least)

Here's what I play right now -

Not that I get chance to play it much anymore... but still. It's a really old samick, but it's beautiful. :)

Larrivee - LV-03R

I find the Larrivee to be so far superior to my Martin in both sound & quality - it is not as bright as a Taylor but that is fine with me. The rosewood really booms too. Someday I would love to play a Koa Larrivee too just to heard the difference in tone.

Sleeper -

Never heard of Brice - is it any good? I love the 6 string bass. Not sure if you have ever heard of Michael Manring, but he does a lot with the 6 string bass. Kind of the Michael Hedges of the bass. Amazing stuff.

You're lucky - you could simply pick it up and start playing again :) I'll need to get a new violin :(

Its effectively a very cheap bass (£3-400, the nearest Yamaha is at least £800) and is very good for the money. I'm told the electronics arent too good, but I dont have a good enough rig to show up any problems there.

Similar to this one, only a slightly more blue-y colour in RL.

Love all my kit...got a little too much but it's one part of my life where i really get to splash out these days! This is the tip of the iceburg, just got me a Tokai Custom shop Jazz bass, and a '73 Strat too. Just wish there was a better scene around here, so hard to get gigs at the moment, always is this time of year!

Picture quality isn't so good but there's a Telecaster i put together myself, an 80's Sigma, a '61 Fender Strat, a Tokai Es 335 and a Vox AC30.

Lead guitarist is our problem, at the moment, although we think we may have found somebody.
