Kirk Shelmerdine is test for RCR this week. Rumour has it that he could pilot the No. 33 for the 500. Good move by RCR not only did Kirk Shelmerdine help build RCR in the eighties and and win championship mas a crew cheif with Mr Earnhardt he can drive pretty good as well came in 20th last year with an old MB2 car. Very cool. I read about him in a book i got a while back (Then Jr Said To Jeff, its a good read) Ive got alot of respect for a guy that quits a top job like that to follow his dream.

Richard Childress really wanted to add a 4th team in 2008 ...
but Childress said he would NOT expand to 4 Cup entries for 2008 because he couldn't find full season sponsorship ...
