Unlike the wealthier manufacturer-backed Formula 1 teams, Williams won’t hold an official launch ceremony for its 2008 challenger, the team has confirmed...
...it is believed the team found best to focus its resources on on-track performance.
The FW30 is expected to make its first public appearance later this month.
My type of guys, no stupid publicity, no bravado, just put down their heads and honetsly do their job. True racers.

do they realize the strength?
Inaugural ceremony for the coming season is something common which each company usually does it.

IIRC Williams were never big on launch ceremonies. Usually they would let the journos see the car for a morning before a test, but they were always low key affairs.
Not like the Jordan events in the EJ heyday. Jees, that guy could sure urinate money up the wall.......

Is a big glitzy launch really needed by any of the teams?
I applaud Williams for getting down to business. It might be a financial decission too but its still a good move.

I suspect that those that do hold a decent bash, do so at the request of the sponsors.
I may be wrong of course, wouldn't be the first time........
