My last nightshift before x-mas.

Maybe it's the complete lack of snow here in Helsinki. Or maybe it's kids who are about to hyperventilate as they wait the presents but I'm feeling filled with x-mas spirit :)

We went to Sainsburys yesterday afternoon. A battering ram would have been better than a shopping trolley. Why is it when it becomes Christmas that everyone loses the ability to drive a trolley or find a good place to stop in an aisle? :rolleyes:

You should have got up at 5.30am, like I did! It was fantastic at my local Sainsbury's, almost completely deserted and totally stress free - until I got home and had to pack it all in the fridge like an enormous jigsaw :D

P. S. There is no better place to be on Christmas Eve at the stroke of midnight than to be at church, singing from the old Baptist Hymnal (1956, 1975, or 1991; this is sadly the last year of the 1991 Hymnal, and the new version scheduled for July is junk!), and to sing something written by Watts and set to music by Händel is a joy. Of course, the week before, I joined with my longtime vocal teacher to be part of Messiah.
