Not at all. Stobart will get numbers 7 and 8, Munchi's (or whatever) - 9 and 10. And Suzuki will be 11 and 12 - they don't have any points from this year, while Stobart finished 4th and Mucnhis' - 6th.

Yeah, this has been reported in several places, as well as Henning moving to Munchis.

Galli tipped for Stobart as was testing at an airfield in England recently, and Ford want good deal with Pirelli.

Bit off topic but Ford had major problems with punctures, and tyres egging, during Swedish test. George Black reckons championship will be decided by which crews can change wheels quickest. Ford are that concerned they are developing a wheel nut which is quicker to get off, for when crews changing a puncture. Source from within team.

Duval has nothing for 2008

A few days from the end of commitments for the Monte Carlo, Francois Duval has confirmed in an interview in the DH this day he still had no proposals "I could even win the Deutschland than would nothing changed. Today, there are more than the rich who drive a WRC. Finns lead of money and sponsors Ford. Malcolm Wilson wants to start talking with me when I have one million in his pocket . But for the moment, I do not have a euro. For a million, I could at least play all six tests on asphalt. " . .

Et la piste IRC semble se refermer avec Loix qui débarque chez Kronos... And the runway IRC seems to be close with Loix who arrived at Kronos ...

One thing is strange. Here they speak about 6 tarmac rallies. I count 4 Monaco, Germany, France, Spain and...?

That's excellent news. I really like Duval, and he is a boost to WRC.

I have just "babelfish'ed" into english below:

Thanks to the support of Steven Vergalle and one of its companies, Structo, François Duval will be at the beginning of the Rally of Assembles-Carlo at the wheel of Ford Focus WRC 07, announces this morning the daily newspaper the Last Heure/Les Sports. Integrated into the TEAM Stobart, François will have a mounting identical to those of Hirvonen and Latvala, official Ford, and will be thus the one of the favourites for the victory. On this type of ground, few pilots are able to compete with Sebastien Loeb and Dani Sordo. François Duval is these! This private initiative thus emanates from Steven Vergalle, the man who allowed Pieter Tsjoen to become by three Champion times of Belgium of the Rallys (in Corolla and Focus WRC), and which proposed June last with Freddy Loix to recover program IRC on the FIAT Punto Super2000 aligned by TEAM R-tce with the colors of its Vergokan company. It is also him which joined Peugeot Belgium to aim at title IRC 2008 on one 207 Super2000 aligned by Kronos. If the course of the test is with the height of the hopes, the program of François Duval in X-ray WRC could be packed since Steven Vergalle took an option on the purchase of this X-ray 2007. Fabio Lazzerini will be adventure while being used as interface between François and the British TEAM. Germany and Spain appear among the tests that François could still dispute at the wheel of this Ford Focus WRC.

No they didn't!

Some older Focus's from Tom Gahan Motorsport, Dom Buckley Motorsport and Ramsport entered under the Stobart name (just buying the entry name), but they weren't run by the M-Sport M2 team, which runs and prepares the Focus's for H.Solberg, Latvala and Wilson.

I assume that Duval will actually be entered by the M-Sport/Stobart M2 team.

It is now official, François participate in the upcoming Monte Carlo Rally at the wheel of a Ford Focus wrc 07 of the team Stobbart

He is a true gift from the sky fell, normal at this time .....( laughs) The gift I owe in large part to Steven Vergalle, as private decided to support me. For the occasion will be a crew 100% because I like Belgian Eddy Chevaillier copilot who already have a good experience of the world championship.

Now j''attends eagerly the first tests before this rally, which will be entirely new for me because we had done an impasse last year.

I hope this collaboration will be a sequel, but first we must make a good result in Monte Carlo and why not revive my career and at the highest level.

I dont know how Ford will work the teams but i'm sure they will have a long queue of drivers. If you have the money then it seems M-Sport are the go-to guys at the moment.

On a side note I dont think Matt Wilson would move from the Stobart team after they have backed him for so long. Especially not now his stock is finally rising.

Looking at the line up for 2008, it seems with a few exceptions, we finally have all the right people in the best seats.

Loeb, Mikko, Latvala, Garde, Gigi, Petter, Atko, Sordo and Duval represent the best drivers on the world scene at the moment.
With the retirement of Gronholm,Tommi, & Markko and the premature deaths of Burns and McRae, I think it would be hard to improve on this line up.

I guess many will argue for drivers like Wilks, Meeke, Paasonen, Stohl, Carlsson etc to be there as well. I totally agree, I would prefer these guys ahead of Al Qasimi and Matt Wilson any day. Unfortunately that's not going to change but hopefully this bunch of unemployed drivers get their big break soon.

Roll on Monte!

Hmmm, maybe it may help Wilsons speed? He was fast before Orr sat beside him as I remember. Something has to help his speed anyway ;)

Can we concluded: no drive for Barry Clark? That is a shame.
About M-Sport/Ford. Do Munchi's still exist in 2008? And what about fiesta sporting trophy?

Barry will get the prize drive for winning the FST this year, possibly in Sardinia in an 06 Focus.

As far as I know Munchis and the Fiesta Trophy will remain for 2008.

So what is the prize to first place in Fiesta trophy? One rally with Focus 06 WRC?I thought that if you win FST,M-Sport gives you money to start in JWRC full season...
Can somebodie explain this?

The prize winning is the JWRC indeed. In a Fiesta S1600 like Bettega this year.
And we saw a really bad performance of that car.

More info:

The WRC drive for Bettega in Corsica was a good thing from M-sport to give Bettega a chance because the bad results with the Fiesta.

Prizes
The intention of FSTi is to give drivers the best opportunity to experience the WRC and to prepare them to compete in the higher levels.

The winner of FSTi will be supported by M-Sport to step up to the FIA Junior Rally Championship in 2008 with logistical and technical support for the Ford Fiesta S1600.

If the winner is not eligible for the FIA Junior Rally Championship, the prize will be geared towards the European Rally Championship, with the same intention of encouraging the drivers to be able to ‘move up’ to the next level.

M-Sport are also negotiating with a number of commercial partners to build a support programme of prizes for competitors, which will be announced in due course.

Good news!

Although this was a bit confusing:

In addition to Argentina the Munchi's squad is also due to compete in Jordan, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Finland, New Zealand, Mexico, Catalunya and Japan, skipping the events in France and GB, as well as Monte Carlo, Sweden and Mexico.

Looks like they will skip Mexico by entering it? There is a joke here about the rest of the season based on their performances but I'm not going there...
