As there is some debate/claim on the British rally forum that the organisers of the IRC are asking for too much money for a UK event to become part of the IRC, does anyone here know roughly how much an organiser of an event is being asked for to become part of the series?

There are two sides of your question. One is the amount of money, which must organisers pays for being IRC event. But the other (and most important) are things, that you must have at your event (helicpoter, SNG car, satellite broadcast etc.).

Thanks for the response. I think the infrastructure would be available but the cost to be part of the series really interests me as the debate stems from the fact that a lot of people feel rallying is now at an all time low in popularity in the UK and therefore the amounts involved would be hard to raise. Rally GB is backed by the WDA but there would appear to be very little support elsewhere in the UK to try and bring a round of the IRC to the country...
