Driving at night, reading in bed and playing with my band all make me happy, but what makes me most happy is when my daughter smiles.

When you're in your twenties, you tell your friends "My God, last night I had such a good f**k." In your thirties you say "Last night I had such a good booze-up." In your forties you say "Last night I had such a good meal," and in your fifties, you say "Last night, I had such a good s**t." I'm in my fifties, unfortunately.

I would say all of these and
4) Watching twin drifting with crashes, spins and lots of overtaking
5) Watching my cat rub around me, purring.

Coming home from work to a great big hug from my daughter :)

It's great being a father!

I'll come in and my three year old says "DADDY!" and she'll run give me a hug, at the same time my 11 month old will crawl as fast as he can to my ankles and then flail his arms and legs, which is his way of saying "pick me up". You can't beat those feelings for anything :)

:p :

I just find it all rather demeaning and so unnecessary.

1/ Travelling on the escalator on The London Underground with mirrors on my toecaps.

2/ Emailing candid photographs of my bodily particles to The Women's Institute

3/ Ringing up the local hairdressers shop and then when one of the staff answers puffing and blowing down her earoles.

Sitting in a beer garden with friends, one of them playing guitar or something... I love times like those. :)

That feeling of awe you get when you're at an amazing gig

I think that's proof right there that Kovalainen is over-rated and won't amount to anything much. (Future) World Champions do not awaken the maternal instinct in women. :p :

The following things make me happy:
brilliant food in restaurants (or at home)
seeing a rare and interesting car on the road I've not seen before
the increasingly strange and hilarious photo and video messages one of my friends sends me - I got a film of him playing "Happy Birthday" on the accordion for my last birthday and a picture of a scruffy dog with antlers on at Christmas. I have replied with a "Through The Keyhole" style video tour of my flat and an educational film about Venus Flytraps.

Oh yes, and seeing an interesting car on the road. That makes me happy too.
