Would anyone be interested in a short BTCC on TRD1?

As time permits, pawprint

I ran a TRD1 BTCC for the past two year-took up the TRD3 BritishGT for now.

But I'll try to be there

A plan that me and Simon came up with would be, 20 practice laps on the track tops, incase you've not bene on in a while, then a 15 lap race with no restarts.

Taking a leaf out of the Motorsport forum's method, it rely's heavily on honesty.

And then a photo of you'r end of race screen, showing the time, and the laps.

1 race per week, a 6 race callender. Would you be up for starting next week?

A photo snap of my finishing screen would be not so easy, but it could be done, and no worries on the practice-I'll probably jump directly to the race.

But yes, I'll be there in the Alfa Romeo... :D

Great.

My original plan would be to run it with Simon on our forum, but......

The photo may not be needed if it is difficult to get, as I'm sure we can trust you, and to save cheating on my part, Will L is not competing, so I think we will PM him our times, and he announces the winner.

Check out our forum for more info, and I'm trying to get others from other sites to join, I'll put up callender info and stuff when it's all figured out.

1 week per race, perhaps starting next week?

I might post up the info on here as well. But thanks for your participation!

Tannat - heres some info. Sorry, meat to post it at the weekend, but 4got :D

20 practice-laps tops in time trial mode if you need to before the race, no more.

15 Laps

NO RESTARTS - If you get caught in turn one, TOUGH LUCK.

110% Difficulty

I think we can trust each other enough not to need a photo.

PM your time to Will, along with your fastest lap (seen on the screen at the finish line) before the closing date, and he will announce the winner after the closing date.

You have 1 week to send Will your times.

Events start on Monday morning at 12:01 am, and close on Sunday evening at 11:59pm.

If there is a cheat, please be honest and don't use it.

Qualifying is something we cannot control, and 1 or 2 places on the grid should not make a difference.

Typical UK weather, correct (sunny, dry :D )?

Looks good, mate.

I'll be there at the checker

That's a good point. I'll speak with Simon, but I think yes, sunny, on all tracks except my home circuit, where it shall be "rain", as usual :D

Cheers Will. My first race at 110%-they weren't very kind.... I let the pug's and am MG slip by and it gave me clear running room for the reminder of the race.

Not looking forward to OP. Can never get that blasted chicane right.

Well, Reid took me out several times, losing about 10-15 secs both times. Had a pretty bad race.

Looking forward to the next few races, in particularly our trip up North to the land of the midnight rain. :)

Thanks, I'll get better!

If Simon posts in the next 2 days-ish, then I think we can allow him. Possibly. We did a time-trial BTCC a few years ago, on 4 tracks, and we were into the 0:36's on Brands

Just completed OP. Never really got the chcicane just right, but had no AI problems after we shoved Steve Soper off on the first lap at the hairpin :D

Well I won against the AI which I felt was good (finished 5th at brands, I believe). Really botched it at the chicane a couple of times, and off on the gravel at the final turn once, but led from the start once Steve Soper took himself out.

I absolutely despise Silverstone-those blind apexes always get me. The next round is definitely a an opportunity for you..

Still dry conditions?

Pawprint
2nd December 2007, 22:08
Yeah, I think we should keep it dry, until we go up-north. I'm uber-confident for Knockhill :D

Haven't driven Silverstone at 110% before, so should be a challenge.

That hairpin always causes me trouble..

UKOG~Will

Knockhill's a beast! :D The hairpin is great where you can just barge everyone out the way LOL

Pawprint
3rd December 2007, 19:32
Ahckt, we wont need to do that ;)

tannat

Messy race for us...

All the cars came to a complete halt on lap two at Luffileds, slowing us considerably, and we were punted off twice into the gravel

This is an opportunity for you paws..

Pawprint
12th December 2007, 22:56
Tannat - I tried to get in touch before, but the site was down. If you'll allow, I will be able to do my Silverstone race this weekend, if that's alright?

And shall we go ahead with Donnington this weekend also?

tannat
14th December 2007, 17:15
Ran Donny this morning-another rough race...

Lap 5-a vauxhall and MG had a nose to nose incident competely blocking the track-lost 4 seconds

A few runs into gravel-about 10 seconds total

Punted by a Lexus-lost 2 seconds

tried to punt lexus in return-lost 5 seconds

Another opportunity, Paws..

The AI drivers are *** ***** ***** **** ** * **** ***** me off sooooo **** **** **** *** bad, I *** give up. Everytime I try and drive at all, they always roll me, send me off al the time, IK'll admit my ager is more than some peoples, but this is just completely over the top, its impossible. I cannot do this. Series is yours,

Paws-let's back up to 105% or even 100%. They are pretty loopy at 110%..

Give it some thought and reconsider. If you've had enough of it though-I understand.

I wanted to draw a pistol on the Lexus driver at Donny...

If you want to back it off a little, we could do, but the time steak is a lot if it, too. I don't have a lot of the stuff. Shall I just see what happens, and would you like to change the difficulty and re-run your races? Up to you mate, I'm just so short on time, and really didn't feal like doing any more racing after this afternoon.

You know paws, I'm a bit overcommitted as well. Tell you what-if you like run donny and s'stone and we can leave it at that. I'll leave my submissions as they are-run at 100 and we'll call it even.

Don't stress yourself, Paws. If the time isn't there don't do it.

Just ring me anytime you want to have a go at a race and I'll be there

Cheers,
