USKartGrandPrix
31st October 2007, 22:15
Remember when you were a child and you used to ask yourself “What if…?” to everything?
Well here’s a new one for you…
What if you had a chance to race with the last CIK FIA World 250 Superkart Champion?
What if you had a chance to race with the ONLY American to ever win a World Karting Championship?
What if you had a chance to race with the current and some former European Champions?
What if you had a chance to race with the current and past winner of the British Kart Grand Prix?
What if you had a chance to race with the British Superkart Champion?
What if you had a chance to race with the Australian Superkart Champion?
What if you had a chance to race with the ONLY American to go to Europe and win a round of the European Championships?
What if you had a chance to race with an internationally known Sports Car Driver?
What if you had that chance…..You would want to do that, right?
Well, get your trailer loaded and head down to VIRginia International Raceway for the second annual United States Kart Grand Prix event December 14-16, 2007.
All of those people mentioned will be on the track, and there will also be four of the worlds top Superkart chassis/engine builders and the son of the late Ayton Senna’s kart mechanic…just to name a few.
There will be no other opportunity like this one to race amongst the most amazing kart drivers in the world. This may be the largest gathering of international presence in United States karting history and very likely the largest gathering of Super Karts ever to race in the United States.
And, don’t forget the prize monies being awarded! And a very large eagle trophy for the winner also…
Besides the beautiful countryside that only VIR has to offer, the track area will be just a bit prettier accompanied by the lovely USKGP Umbrella Girls who will be wandering around the grid and the award podium. All are local girls from just over the North Carolina border, you can find out more about them on our website http://www.USKartGrandPrix.com. (http://www.uskartgrandprix.com./) We have one more girl to post, some of you may have even seen her before at the Suzuki Big Kahuna Nationals!
After a fun day of racing, we’ll be ending the evening with a local band from the Lynchburg area. Point of Honor is a modern rock band with a large local following. They perform original tunes and cover some classics that everyone will know. It should be a great way to kick back and relax after a day of fast-pacing racing and last minute repairs!!
This is a once in a life time gathering of some of the very greatest that our sport has to offer. If they can come from England, Ireland, Australia and other countries around the globe…you can make it from wherever it is you’re at.
