Great spot to get shots at end of stage... that Loeb one, when you watch the video, day 3 end of day when the interviewer was talking about engine changes etc for IRE and GB and retirement, my flash went off! Well I have to check if they aired it! Thats me haha

Flodin is really nice guy! Had a chat to him, also reminding him about being pulled over by the police after following a fellow PWRC'er driving on the wrong side of the road! Pulled up behind him and got some shots of him talking on the phone and explaining to someone to translate into Japanese for the Police! haha

what really annoys is that team never publish photos of crashed car
on swrt.com there is no single photo of damaged Subaru, same situation with Ford and Citroen :rolleyes:

I've got a shot of a Subaru without a front bumper on one stage... not sure who's... and nearly got Gronholm when he crashed but only when he was stuck in the ditch! Pozzo, I have a few shots! I was talking to a Argentinian video guy, and he asked me so I did, but then never caught up with him after haha ah well, really would of loved more photos from the rally, weird place I tell you! Wil get some more shots in a few hours! :D

Great to catch up with you at Rally Japan, GigiGallifan.
Sorry I couldn't look after you better - our team had many small dramas before the event and late nights during it! A class win almost made all the hard work worthwhile (getting too old to enjoy lying in the mud in minus temperatures, I suppose).

Mitsubishi also had a spare evo X zero car in the service park, as well as two display cars (one dark blue-grey colour). Here are some pix

It has been said it is probable that Rally Japan cahnges locations, what do you know Rally Hok.?

Have you seen Group N and PWRC, it happened exactly what we talked between us before the rally:

Taguchi, Arai and Nutahara will be fastest, Pozzo just right there, and I mentioned Haninne as a newcomer which will post excellent times.

Taguchi led and won group N, Arai led PWRC till his off, Nutahara led till mid leg 2.
Pozzo won, he haad a cautious day 1, and was atching Nutha we Fumio went off!!!

Well, I thought Gabriel was due for a change of luck plus he and his former team mate, Ligato probably have the most experience of Hokkaido roads amongst overseas crews.
Apparently, Toshi went off following Loeb's wheeltracks and, though undamaged, couldn't get back on the road, too bad. As everyone has commented, he was under a lot of pressure to seal the ch'ship at his home rally plus his company was running four cars at this event, which probably didn't help his personal preparation for the rally.
I haven't heard the details of Nuta's off, so can't comment there.
Katsu, of course, always goes well when not under pressure. He also has probably done more kilometres on Hokkaido's stages than anyone else.
My friends said that Patrik Flodin was the most committed GpN driver on the stages they saw. I was also impressed by Araujo's performance (and I don't mean the win on the SSS!).
I believe it's 90% sure that the rally will move to south of Sapporo. Apparently there is a draft route already and FIA were going to inspect the venue on Monday after the rally. It is planned to use the covered World Cup Sapporo Dome as service park - a good move because there will be a greater chance of snow on that side of the island. The City of Sapporo had its first snow of the season yesterday.
I think it will be difficult to find the variety and length of stages that the rally has here in the Tokachi region. Unfortunately, that is what happens to most WRC's (e.g. Argentina) - good stages are lost so that the 'rally package' can be improved.

Wow! That's big hit. Yep I agree, very lucky. The rollcage did it's job alright.
The shell must have moved a lot to rip like that. Fortunately the belts are attached to the cage not the shell.
