I'm starting a rankings chart based on all the drivers recent performence kind of like nascar.com does with their drivers.
1. Kimi Raikkonen
17 points down just 3 weeks ago and takes the title. A truly deserving champion. How long do you think it'll take for him to get drunk tonight?
2. Felipe Massa
Just failed repeat last year's win but respectable performence none the less.
3. Lewis Hamliton
Everything went wrong for him at the worst possible time. Running off the track, Gear problems and a stupid 3 stop strategy. He did well just to finish 7th. Never mind he will still have many more opportunities and 1 point off the title in your first year is a brilliant achievement.
4. Fernado Alonso
A rather slow performence on Sunday by Alonso, slower than Lewis for the 3rd race running and nearly a lap down on Kimi.
5. Nico Rosberg
Finally Nico gets a top 5 finish but if McLaren have their way he could lose it. A rather dim blip while passing Heidfeld was made up for by passing Kubica the following lap.
6. Robert Kubica
Quicker than Nick again and even manged to pass Alonso. Could have been a podium if he was on a 2 stopper.
7. Nick Heidfeld
Doubt Nick was impressed by Nico Rosberg's slighty over ambitious pass on him but an overwise uneventful race.
8. Heikki Kovalainen
Came so close to beating Tiago Monteiro's record for most races completed before first retirement but spun off the track to complete an already bad weekend for Renault.
9. Mark Webber
Poor Mark always seems to blow up when he's running well. Let's hope Red Bull sort out their reliablity for next year.
10. David Coulthard
Another solid season for DC and he's beaten his teammate again.
11. Jenson Button
The team told Jenson that they'd installed a cigrette lighter in the car so that he could burn it after the race. Look's like he just couldn't wait until then so he chose to do it mid-race instead.
12. Jarno Trulli
First point since Indy in June, a reasonable end to a dismal year for Jarno.
13. Sebastian Vettel
Back to reality at Brazil for Vettel with a hydralic failure ending his race early.
14. Kazuki Nakajima
Rule #1 in racing don't take out your teammate. Nakajima instead runs over his mechanics. Not a brilliant first impression but 10th place from 19th on your debut is not bad.
15. Giancarlo Fisichella
Taken out by Yamamoto on the first lap to end a rather rubbish 2nd half of the season.
16. Vitantonio Luizzi
A rather average run to 13th after 2 consecetive points scoring races.
17. Ralf Schumacher
A poor race to end a poor season for Ralf. He didnt exactly leave Toyota with a bang did he?
18. Adrian Sutil
Unfortunatly Adrian's erractic side reared it's ugly head for the end of the season causing a rather daft collision with Davidson.
19. Takuma Sato
Another uneventful run for Taku. Still 12th was his best finish since Montreal.
20. Rubens Barrichello
Rubens ends a season without any points for the first time in his 15 year carrear. A likely sign that he is not long for the F1 world.
21. Anthony Davidson
A crash with Sutil ruined an already slow weekend for the Ant.
22. Sakon Yamamoto
Ends his stint of races for Spyker in the back of Fisi's Renault.
