Anyway, it's all marketing bowlarks designed to get us talking about the channel. And as such, it's working. Dave, apparently, is aiming to attract a young affluent audience.

Thing is though, I look at the EPG and select programmes I like, not channels. To those of us who are used to this technology, the concept of a "channel" is redundant. If Dave has good programmes I'll watch it, whatever it calls itself. If not, no amount of marketing guff will persuade me otherwise.

The name Dave makes me laugh anyway, as it reminds of Rat Fan's infamous quote "I don't like cats called Dave". :laugh:
