Several thousand free range chickens got loose about three miles from here a few years ago. Some of the little critters made it all the way in to the town centre within a few hours and would you believe the town became full of old people on pushbikes picking up the newly run over animals and taking them home to eat :s

Chickens on the loose are very funny, but deeply unlucky :p :
