Anyone seen the Golden Compass yet? ;) Well, you shouldn't have right but it's almost here. Since I think print is dead and it's totally worthless to read, does anybody know more about the trilogy ?

I watched the trailer and thought it looked good - but why the title change? Northern Lights is much more appropriate. Most of the action in the book takes place in the North, (Svalbard, Lapland etc) with magical and mysterious Dust that looks like streams of light. I started re reading Northern Lights yesterday and it is a great read, the best of the three I think.

They haven't changed the title, they just haven't used the UK title.

Over here (UK) the trilogy is:
Northern Lights
The Subtle Knife
The Amber Spyglass

But over in the USA (not sure if it's the same everywhere else) the trilogy is:
The Golden Compass
The Subtle Knife
The Amber Spyglass
