Don't usually go for that sort of thing unless it's done well which from what I can see it is

Looks spot on to me, what else needs done? :)

Well wheels aren't strictly correct for a Network Q car though they look right for tarmac spec :)

Must of cost a fortune, but a beautiful car. Would love to have that as a daily driver anyday. Is it just cosmetic work to make it look like the rally car, like the Impreza i about bought at my local dealer, or is it have engine mods, roll cage? But it is a wonderful car. Would love to see it blow by me while I was driving.

Make it a complete through and through replica, engine and all then blat around trackdays
That's what I would do.

Daniel

Well if it is actually a GT4 then it's already got a very good engine in it. Don't know why you'd want to go to trackdays in a rally car though!

YES but you cant get 6 spoke speedlines in 18" anymore, and if an ex works set came up the works cars were 4 stud fitmant the road cars are 5 stud, and KANKKUNENS car ran 18" 6 spoke speedlines during a tarmac stage ,which was at won of the race curcuits (cant remember which one at the momant) SO THEY ARE AS CLOSE AS YOUR GOING TO GET. thanks for the kind words all.................andy....... its not going to be a track car,and yes it is a gt4,and allreadey has a fairly nice rally look interior as it has recaros fitted.

Did you contact speedline? :)

If I remember correctly they can do limited runs of particular styles of rims :)

WHITE WRC

Yes they said they could do a group A set 4 for £2200

Have you heard of the event Rallyday at Castle Combe?
A trackday for rally cars. Japfest would be another good trackday too.

Gorgeous car!!! Where did you find that hood?

Beautiful looking car mate. I used to love mine and it didn't look anywhere as nice as yours.

If it was me though, I would be modifying it. Unfortunately the road car is way to heavy and like a lot of the mid 90s turbos you don't start getting any action until you're well over 3k rpm. Can make for a tiring drive around town.

And seeings as you're in Europe you have access to lots of good tuners with GT4 experience (http://www.fensport.co.uk for example). Let alone what must be available in some of the Scandinavian countries or Germany itself from TTE or whatever they call themselves these days.

Edit: Those rims look the same as the ones I have on my Evo. Are they Compomotive MOs?

WHITE WRC
30th December 2006, 23:36
Yrs they are the new style 8x18" Mo,s ,was waiting 10 weeks for them as they were 1 off specials, the engine should be running 350bhp by the summer.

The very same wheels then :) I had mine ordered whilst I was still in the US and before I bought the car because the lead time was so long. They really suit the GT-Four.

Piece of advice. If you plan on tracking the car, find some way to wax the rim surface or something before hand. I've learnt to my annoyance that brake dust will actually bake to the surface under those sort of conditions and is almost impossible to get off.

I've found that the Impreza turbo also makes a good track car. Why else would have it have been used in the 2006 Nurburgring 24hr race by an ex BTCC racer.

Yes but this person has specifically built this car as a RALLY replica and not a RACE replica :) Juha Kankkunen is a famous Rally driver. Not a famous race driver ;) Just saying is all :)

I like what you have done so far White WRC.
Looks cool,

Ace!

Is there a website/fanclub for this sort of thing?

Seen far too many Scooby WRC replicas but hardly any Evo's.

Used to know a guy who had his Pug 206 turned into WRC replica - Marlboro red, Marlboro chevron decals, WRC bodykit.

One day I was on pedestrian crossing and guess what car stopped - Focus 03 WRC! Replica of course but very well made, with all the body kit and rear spoiler and everything. I crossed the road as slowly as I could. :D

I've seen that one quite a few times already though and I knew there was one in my home town. There's also a Marlboro liveried 206 WRC which is also pretty cool. That is also with the body kit - IMO just decals don't cut it. There's a Xsara also somewhere in country but not in the town I live in that only has the official livery but nothing else, wasn't that impressive but maybe it was a work in progress so who knows what beast that car now is..

Truely beautiful mate. Makes me miss my GT4. Awesome looking seats by the way. They sure aren't the stockies!

I'm probably biased but I think the ST205 version of the GT4 was one of the best looking Group A cars to hit the road. Especially in tarmac trim.
