Was a year ago today at the Rocket Pub in Leicestershire little Cadey-Lee Deacon lost her life by being mauled by two dogs.
I work in a children's hospital where, sadly, the death of children is expected as they are unable to conquer whatever biological, genetic, or whatever other 'causes' may have contributed to their disease status. It is a condition to which one never gets accustomed...
Very sadly, children face mortality on a daily basis due to lack of basic needs (such as hunger and thirst), to negligence of parents and caregivers, to the most heinous crimes one wouldn't dare imagine..
Cadey-Lee's horrible death occurred when my little girl was the same age. A little one's life shouldn't end this way, and to quote a noteworthy humanitarian, "No child deserves to die in the dawn of life".
Save the kids...
