50 cars entered.

Top 35 - Mark Martin is in #01, Ken Schrader/Bill Elliott in #21 (Nascar.com shows BE Jayski has KS), Kenny Wallace still in #88 for Rudd.

Need for speed - No changes to the regular drivers, other than Nascar.com has John Andretti in #49, Jayski has Ken Schrader (as experienced as Kenny is, he hasn't found a way to race two cars at once;-) Since the #21 gained points over #22 yesterday I expect KS in #21 and JA in #49.

Three cars added.
Sam Hornish Jr tries to qualify again in #06 Penske Dodge. Scott Wimmer is back in 4th RCR #33, and Marcos Ambrose is in Robby's #77.

Qualifying has so many variables that I won't pick who goes home .....
sometimes going late is an advantage, other times going early is better .....
sometimes a cloud comes over, cooling the track & giving more grip .....
sometimes a set of Goodyears have more grip than a comparable set .....
sometimes the engine tuner finds a few extra horsepower .....
sometimes sheer determination & a little good luck is successful .....
sometimes even the big teams make the wrong adjustment .....
sometimes practice conditions are totally different than qualifying conditions ....
sometimes even the blind squirrell finds the nut .....

I've just looked at the entry list on NASCAR.com and Marcos Ambrose wasn't listed so I went on to Jayski and it's saying that Marcos Ambrose is removed from the entry list/withdrew
What's going on? Has Robby got some sort of problem with/on the #77 car for it to be not running? Has Marcos injured himself or is he ill?

I've also noticed that both NASCAR.com and Jayski are saying that Ken Schrader will be driving the #21 and John Andretti is driving the #49

That's a shame for Ambrose. :( Well good on him for choosing to support his wife and new born baby. Hope Robby Gordon gives him another chance later on.

10. Matt Kenseth
15. Carl Edwards
22. Kyle Busch

Tried to post the grid a few hours ago but it wouldn't post.
Surprised to see the Bill Davis Toyotas miss the race while all the others made it. Bowyer had the slowest speed, got to wonder if his crew celebrated a little too much this week.

Looks like between the "Chaser" team-mates .....
some got the better starting spots compared to their counterparts .....
Polesitter Jimmie Johnson got the best starting spot @ Hendrick MotorSports .....
Starting 3rd, Denny Hamlin got the best starting spot @ Joe Gibbs Racing .....
Starting 7th, Kevin Harvick got the best starting spot @ Richard Childress Racing .....
Starting 10th, Matt Kenseth got the best starting spot @ Roush Racing .....

but where will they finish ????? http://www.motorsportforum.com/forums/images/icons/tongue-anim.gif

**** Blaney didn't make it. Now he'll never be in the Top 35 :(

 AJ Allmendinger did an amazing job to qualify 11th, top Toyota as well, his team mate only qualified 23rd. Lets see how they finish in the race that's the more important thing.

Poor Blaney, though look at it like this; it's only been he 3rd DNQ this season so not too bad considering how many the other Toyotas have had.

Vickers - 9 DNQ 1 DNS
Allmendinger - 15 DNQ
Blaney - 3 DNQ
Mayfield - 16 DNQ
Reutimann - 6 DNQ
Jarrett - 10 DNQ
Waltrip - 16 DNQ

Riggs qualified well too in 6th

Petty ran his best qualifying this season with a 16th
