Colin McRae Rally Tribute

I know that we have just had the CMR1 appreciation event, but after the tragic news that came through last night I thought it would be fitting if we ran a tribute event. Especially since he endorsed the game that changed the way we thought about rally simulation games.

I was thinking about using Colin McRae Rally 2 on the UK stages for this. But first I'd like to see if anyone else is interested and if anyone has any suggestions for the event.

Count me in. I also think it should be an annual event. I hope they won't stop making the game, I mean, at least the next generations should know about this great sportsman and respect him.

You might consider doing the rally in single stage mode so that weather can be controlled...

While Colin performed quite well in the UK throughout his career (3 overall wins) it is worth pointing out he acheived the most wins in Greece (96-98-00-01-02)

I used to love CMR2 on the original Playstation, and would be interested in taking part. I'll have a look in Game tomorrow and see whether I can pick up a copy for Windows.
